Target had Fallout 3 GOTY (360) online only for $39.99, but constantly out of stock. Thankfully you couldn't see the price until you added it to your cart, which mentions nothing of in/out of stock. So I printed that page out, walk in to Best Buy and politely ask the CS clerk if they price match Target, and if this printout would be sufficient.
Of course he says they do, I grab the game, use giftcards to get it for $39.99, and I'm out the door.
Great deal that my wife just couldn't appreciate as much as I could, even though she tried to pretend. I guess the next time she tells me how much money she saved by buying 10 things on sale for 30%, I'll drop the imaginary interest too! haa haa.
Moral of the story, Best Buy will likely price match based on the online only deal, just kick off the conversation really polite instead of demanding something. It's a step that a lot of people seem to be overlooking when they're ranting against a retailer that didn't cave in to their demands. Kill em with kindness first.
