I saw 2 of these for $30 each today at a used bookstore place near me. They are in decent condition and im considering buying them. Ive never heard of them or played one im not really sure what they are..but are they worth more than that, is it a good deal?

They are great little systems, with some pretty good games - especially if you like portable fighting games (snk vs capcom motm!) or metal slug.

Or you might want to check ebay, you can get a new system with 6 games for around 50$ -

The only musthave game is match of the millenium. other games are good but not great, especially with the GBA in the market now.

$30 seems very expensive for a used Neo Geo Pocket. There are some cool games on the system but unless you really like 2D fighters, I wouldn't bother getting it.

I LOVE my NGPC . I tried hard to get every english game that came out for it, european and JP included. out of the total library im only missing about 4 or 5 and 3 of them are pachinko games, the other one is tactics ogre and the mech rpg game part 2( cant remember the name now).
I find every game is fun, inlcuding the sports games and im not a big sports game fan.
I find them to be every it as fun and almost as nice graphically as my gba
LIke the previous posters said, the best ones are the fighting games.
Card clash is also fun if you like card games.

I agree. Card Fighters clash is Great if you have any interest in card based games go for it. The hardware itself is also very good, very nice 2-d, love the clickstick...but 30 used is a bit steep.
