I couldn't find anything in the forums already so sorry if this has been answered somewhere else.

I just got a new 60GB and I want to connect to XBOX Live. I really wanted to avoid the whole $100 adapter issue so I found this article on Joystiq on how to share my internet connection with my mac to my 360.

I have followed everything to the letter and I pass the IP and DNS test but it always fails the MTU test. I've reset the MTU to 1346, 1488, and 1500 but it fails everytime. I've called Microsoft and they couldn't figure it out either.

So I've got modem -> Airport Express (router) - > Mac mini receiving wireless internet -> Mac mini internet sharing enabled to ethernet connecting to 360

If anyone could offer any help it would be beyond appreciated. I already spent too much money on this thing, I'd hate to drop another $100 on an adapter (if that would even fix the problem)

If this is any consolation, Circuit City sells WiFi adapters for 80 dollars.;)

CircuitCity.com is showing it as $100 at my store

Is there no hope for this problem? Any mac or xbox geniuses? lol

Link. This is a walkthrough. The CC thing is in an ad.[/quote]

Yeah I followed that walkthrough and like 10 others lol still no luck.

I just went ahead and bought the wireless adapter (thanks to the $10 off coupon at Best Buy). It's a ripoff but what's another $100 after plunking down $400 for the Xbox and stuff.

Thanks everyone though!
