I don't know how long this sale is for, but these prices are active as of this morning.

EA Sports Active $29.99 new/$24.99 used
Prototype $19.99 new/$17.99 used XBOX 360 VERSION ONLY
Super Smash Bros Brawl $24.99 new/$19.99 used

the new price is the bundle.. they don't sell it separate new. if the store has it used, it should include everything

Good sales recently with this and the Fight Night sale the other week. I wish I had one of these stores local, but most of them have closed.
 
damnit, i just had bb pm ghostbusters yesterday. I dont know if I can resist prototype at $20 either.
any word on how long these prices will hold?

Is this nationwide or just for the closing stores? I'd probably get all 3 of those games. I've been waiting and waiting on prototype to drop to $20.
 
why would stores that are closing have sales? they liquidated old items out.

stores remaining open are having the sale.

i dont see these prices in any flyers or ads so good luck on pm'ing

yeah I figured as much, maybe they'll put something up on the website like they did for Fight Night 4, Ghostbusters, etc that way I can just print that out...

yeah...it seems they are updating right now because now i can't login, i get an error message when I go to their site. So probably in a few the hot deals will be updated to reflect the sale.

I worked for Gamecrazy for a year and a half, and let me tell you, whatever is on the site is complete crap. They don't pay a lot of attention to their site, and even when stuff is mentioned on the site, it's really up to the manager on duty if they will match it unless you have proof that it says that on there. The employees cannot access the Gamecrazy website, only the weak intranet that is SUPPOSED to be the communications hub for the company, which is poorly maintained. Gamecrazy has great deals, but the way that they choose to do business is killing their company.

I know...which is why I stopped going there for anything less than a super saver deal after they told me that they gave me a hard time when GTA4 was $15 at GS, they wouldn't match it or give me the extra 5%? or 10%? i dont know what it is anymore like it says on the website. Basically their motto that day didn't apply. I have an email from the District manager saying that "I assure you the next time you trade your games at Gamecrazy will beat Gamestop's trade in values by %" I told him, there is no next time and thank you for your speedy response to my inquiry.
 
wow, definitely in for a prototype. heading out during lunch, hopefully I find it.

edit: is this advertised anywhere incase they didn't update their computers yet?

This isn't the type of deal where you could "spoil it" by calling in, it sounds like a genuine sale. Feel free to give your GC a call and check. They might be lazy and not really check, or they might lie, or they might tell you they are closing, but its the only 100% guaranteed method.
 
hey so ive been interested in prototype for a while... can anyone who has it give some feedback on if it's worth it at $20?
 
I will try and PM prototype if I can find a page to print...there are no GC within a reasonable distance to me.

oh god damn it my store is closing on oct 25th never bothered to check it till now no prototype for me they didnt even answer the phone i got a answering machine

Yeah, I just found out last week the one store around here is closing. Too bad, I was waiting for Prototype to drop.
 
Too bad my usual GC closed, but there is one that is apparently close to me, but I have never been in it. Prototype for $20 though might make me go.
 
I just called my local Gamestop. All three games trade in for $15 there. And with the Trade 3/4 get $10/$20 deal going on right now, if you have a couple other games to trade in, it would be a good time to flip Prototype and Smash Bros.
 
I think the stores that are not closing received all the stock on new games / used games of the 2009 releases and Game Crazy is using this to run sales like the Fight Night to get people to come into the store. When I picked up Fight night last time my store had over 100 new used titles that were shipped to them from other stores.
 
Hmm, not bad if you want Prototype or Super Smash Bros.

Too bad Prototype is 360 only; I rented awhile ago on PS3 and would want to pick up where I left off
 
I would get prototype if they were selling it on the ps3

called, they have Prototype for $20, which is what I'll be getting tonight!
I'm pretty sure they have the other 2 games on sale as well, couldn't ask as I didn't remember what they were, but you should call in and ask for them to hold as these will go quick!
 
I went to BB today and brought a Prototype PS3 to customer service and said I read on internet that Game Crazy had it for $20. A little shocked she went to confirm and came back with the green light to price match. I was lucky that they accepted the PS3 version no problem. Anyone wanting the PS3 version I would recommend trying BB. What's worst that could happen? Thanks again CAG (OP)for the head up. Kinda pricey considering all the $5 games I scored the last few months. Damn I'm getting cheap!
