Hello all, brand new at CAG and this is a fantastic site! (What took me so long to find this?)
Just thought I would share a fun shopping story..
When World of Warcraft originally came out, it was near impossible to find anywhere. Shopping online in 2004 wasn't as easy as it is today, so going store to store was the way to do it. I remember I must have gone to at least two dozen stores in couple weeks time to find WoW, and not a single story had a copy in stock.
I decided, after another failed attempt somewhere, to try a Target store in a nearby town where I was to see if they had it - you know, keep on going store to store and not giving up. Well, I remember I went into the Target and when I approached the PC display, I saw the shelf space for WoW, and how deep it was (indicating it was probably sold out). But, as I got closer to the shelf space, what did I find? One lone copy still left. It was a great day!
I still have this original copy because it has a certain nostalgia value to me. Not sure if I will ever discard it!
Well, thanks for reading and glad to be a part of the CAG family!
