"ATLUS CONJURES SUMMON NIGHT: TWIN AGE(TM) FOR NINTENDO DS(TM)

Unsheathe Your Stylus and Vanquish the Enemy this May 20th

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 18th, 2008 - Atlus U.S.A., Inc., a top 5 publisher in 2007 for overall game review scores*, today announced Summon Night: Twin Age for Nintendo DS, a fully stylus-driven action RPG set in the popular Summon Night universe. The stylus is your key to the world of Clardona, whether as your swinging sword or your shimmering wall of fire. Summon Night: Twin Age is currently scheduled to bring its precise controls, beautifully animated graphics, and addictive action RPG gameplay to the Nintendo DS on May 20th.

About Summon Night: Twin Age
From a very young age, the human girl Reiha displayed great aptitude for the magical art of Summoning. While still a child, her powers caused a terrible accident during a major Summoning experiment. It was reported that Reiha had died as result, but she survived, along with a young Summon Beast named Aldo that had been pulled into her world...

Following the accident, the two children grew up together as brother and sister on the tropical island of Jarazi, among a race of people with beast-like features. There they learned to commune with the Nature Spirits that surrounded them. One day, the Spirits began acting strangely, prompting Reiha and Aldo to investigate. Their quest to find out who or what is behind the corruption of the Spirits will lead them back to the human lands where the cataclysm first brought them together...

Glad it's finally localized as I've been close for quite some time on purchasing it. I guess I'll go ahead and bite on the third GBA one though.

...Now if we could just get the console Summon Nights as they're pretty fun SRPGs. I'd probably buy them again even though I already own the first four, plus EX.
I had GBA version. I wonder it's GBA port part 1 & 2 on DS or it Part 3 of the series ??
Huh? There are three Swordcraft Summon Night games by title and the DS version isn't one of them. All three are on the GBA but two were localized:

(GBA) Summon Night: Swordcraft Story
(GBA) Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2
(GBA) Summon Night Craft Sword Monogatari: Hajimari no Ishi

Then along came a DS Summon Night that has a completely different battle system based around the stylus. Which is why I think it's not named Swordcraft Story as they all had a similar Tales-esque battle system. The same can be said of the SRPG Summon Night games on consoles and why Summon Night EX-These: Wings of Dawn wasn't given a number after the name as it was a Ys-esque battle system.

So what I think you're asking is if the DS version is just a port of the earlier version(s)? If so, then no, it's completely new and stand alone that isn't quite like the earlier GBA Summon Night games. If it is apart of the Swordcraft Story sub-series, then it would be the fourth game and not the third.

I may of completely misunderstood what you said, but meh, someone may find what I wrote interesting if that's true.
I'm I reading news correctly and this is an action game with RPG elements? More like a Zelda game? If so, count me in.
Kinda, but it's still quite different than Zelda from what I understand. Here's the official japanese site that has a little gameplay demo of how the game will play:

http://www.snta.jp/

Just hit the buttons on the bottom to bring out more monsters and you can use the tiny little menu on the left side to switch between the two characters and play with two of their skills.

That's a neat idea for a website. I wish more companies would do stuff like that.
