new games labeled as used and sold from Toysrus in store?

Saw several games random PS3, 360 games still in the original y-fold shrink wrap. Why are these labeled used?

I never traded in a sealed game to toysrus so not sure if that is the case.

At gamestop they always gut the game open when you do bring them in sealed.

If they are old, they clearance them out like 2-5 bucks, used prices are higher so they label them as such. I too wish it wasn't so.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. I saw some PS2 Singstar game labeled for $22.89 used when it was new and on clearance for $3 around 2 years ago (and probably still in the system for $3)

I don't think they are trade ins because it's a lot of the same titles across multiple stores. I think it's more likely they bought out the stock of another retailer and decided to sell it as used. Maybe to start up their new used game trade in program?

They come in the same way as "New" games do, but they are just marked as "Used". They aren't trade-ins from that TRU either.
