Hey,

Currently i have the ps3 24in 1080p/120hz 3d display in my office. It's definitely flickering a lot more now than ever and on it's last legs. It sits in my office at home and acts as a part time TV and usually has a ps3 hooked up to it. It's under best buy warranty and they said they don't even bother repairing these, so they'll just give me credit for purchase price.

This is the set I'm currently eyeing:

I know I'd lose the 120hz/1080p, but how important are these really? I know the 1080p isn't really that important on a small set. Will the 120hz to 60hz be that noticable for gaming?

I'm open to suggestions and thoughts, thanks in advance!

$220 for that isn't too bad.

You probably will not notice much or anything, it all depends on the game if it outputs at 30fps and the display refreshes at 60hz, it should not make the picture any better then viewing it on a display with a refresh rate of 120hz ( That's what was explained to me a long time ago, but could be wrong about this, sorry if I got the wrong info)

I thought the Playstation TV only outputs120hz if it was doing 3D and not regular gaming since it has to produce two pictures to make the 3d effect.

Sharp is a good brand, I would check out reviews of that TV just in case since I heard good things about their "Aquos" line ( which are usually 55" and up").

I would say go with the sharp since you have the option to go 1080p and it is cheaper.

Pretty sure that's the same model I had, looks amazing, I think I paid $500 for mine but was worth every penny. The settings out of the box were fine, I think I used the game setting though, can't remember though as I sold it a year ago.

Oh and I think it has audio outs that can be used for turtle beach headsets without the adapter.
