I got it from the bungie.net forums, but that place is full of 12 year old kids with down syndrome, so I'd like the thoughts of some intelligible CAGers. Video quality isn't that great its recorded with a digicam, but still..../me wants Halo 2.

I'm glad that guy was able to get the trailer while he was bootlegging a movie. Otherwise I would never have seen this Halo2 trailer.
 
Yeah, anyone know what event this is from?

I'd also like to hear some theories, people have been speculating that the voice in the trailer is that of a Prophet, "There are those who said this day would never come, what are they to say now?"

Can anyone tell in the frame by frame break down what that white thing is? It looks to be hitting the other object on the left side of the video.

RUMOR #2: A second Halo 2 cinematic trailer has been screened to select audiences.

Source: The forums on Team Xbox.

The official story: Microsoft had not commented as of press time.

What we heard: According to the spoiler-packed (WARNING! WARNING!) Team Xbox post, the trailer begins with high-graphics shots of a leveled city on Earth. Stomping through the smoldering ruins is a Covenant "walking transport" similar to a "giant Star Wars AT-AT with a huge gaping mouth with massive ships coming out." Some of the new vehicles were described as more "boxy" than previous Covenant craft. More important was the summary's mention of the Covenant Prophets, the religious leaders of the multi-racial, interstellar theocracy. Glimpsed only briefly, the prophets are said to play a key role in Halo 2, and, according to the Team Xbox leak, they speak English rather the Covenant language uttered by Grunts and Elites. If true, this could add ammo to the theory that humans are indeed, the "Founder" race spoken mentioned in the first Halo, as has been speculated by many hardcore fans of the game. Then again, it could be one of those same fans passing the time until November 9 by posting mischievous fictions on forums.

Where'd you see the other Spartan?[/quote]They will have other soldiers that are called "helljumpers" which are advanced marines and Master Chief (a.k.a. John) will have three fellow SPARTANs, Will, Fred, and Linda.

Not sure what the other spartans will do in Halo 2, though.

Did anyone else read the books. They were very good, I thought. And weren't the Prophets in the third book? It has been a long time since I've read them, and I have forgotten.

I seen Gamestop had all three for $20 in a collectors pack in store.
 
well the clip didn't really impress me that much. But I've never been that hyped about the game. And I've only pre-ordered it a few weeks ago, since I got a good deal on it. Also I'm never that impressed by CGI demos of games, and that's what 80% of that clip seemed to be. When I see a promo for a game, I want to see game play not cut scenes.

Except that no "CG" is used in any of this, actually. 100% of everything they've done is created with in engine graphics. Obviously the quality is better with pre-rendered scenes, but that's still a pretty impressive statement.

Those are called "buggers" by the spartans, it said it in a caption. they fly but have weaker armor, so they can fly. a comment was made about that gaint thing in the video the op posted. they say they're not supposted to write about "the big cool thing at the begining of level two" anbd at the end of the paragraph "esp. when master chief is attacked by that huge..." ends at that.

I did. At about 12 seconds you can see a spartan pulling another spartan out of the way of a ghost. Its not a helljumpers because those guys have black armor, both of these guys have green spartan armor.
