Hey y'all. I skipped the part where I ask what TV to buy and just went and bought one. I snagged a 55" LG 55LF6000 for $300. So I'm gonna ask for tech advice instead.

My "old" TV was a 51" Samsung PN51F4500. Nice plasma, but not 1080p. I decided I wanted 1080p. But it looks terrible! Since this isn't a deal request, I'll keep it simple: Gaming. I went into my TV inputs and switched to "PC" (since there's no game mode), and my games all look blurry and washed out. Turn off PC and they look jagged as hell. There's no in between. Even messing with sharpness just makes it look blurry AND jagged.

Is there something I'm missing? I don't know a damn thing about TVs, so I'm hoping I'm overlooking something I need to do here. Anyone with LG TV experience, your insight would be much appreciated.

Here is a review from rtings.com. It talks about the input lag, blur, etc.

If you go through the top "review" menu and find your tv they have a settings area that might help you get the best calibration for your tv.

You could also look up the Disney Wow (world of wonder) disc to do calibration for the colors if that doesn't work. Or if you have some lucasarts dvds/blu rays I think all (or practically) all of them have thx calibration stuff on them.
