Nintendo is apparently doing some video thing every week until it comes out.

4/24 - This one has all the powerups in it.
5/01 - Shows Mario's new/old moves (triple jump, ass pound, wall jump, etc.)
5/08 - Shows multiplayer mode
 
Wow... this reminds me of how great the NES Marios were, where you played them to the point you had memorized every jump, stop, and duck to sweep through a level.
 
the world will pretty much explode when the new Mario game comes out. Millions of latent gamers will be activated and fight to the death over DS systems in the store [/prophetic]
 
I wonder how long the game will last. Hopefully it will take at least 10 hours to beat. Other than that, it looks good.

...this looks incredible. I spotted references to every major Mario game except Sunshine. Of particular note was the red coin sound effects from Yoshi's Island and the winged cap music from Mario 64 playing when he grabbed a star.


I look forward to next week's ridiculously massive erection.
 
Only thing that I didn't like about that video was how it looked as if mario was leaning back while running. Oh and WTF? Mario can flip!
 
My Celeron 600 can't handle the site. Maybe I'll watch it at work.

Not like it really matters, though, I'm ready to open my wallet and let Nintendo take whatever they need for me to have this game anyway.

I got that same damn email. I was like, "fuck YES!" and then I opened it up and found out it was a movie of the new DS game. I died inside.

Yeah and then 20 years later you pullout the nes and your wife wips your ass on it because she STILL remembers everything..

Wow wall jumps. That's crazy. I am so freaking excited to see this game. This is now the #1 game I want to play at E3. I would definitley pay full price for this game on launch day (But I'll try not to).
 
It really says something about the videogame industry when the first 2D Mario game in 14 years is still only my FIFTH highest anticipated game of the year (next to Okami, Zelda: TP, Zelda: PH, and Castlevania: PoR). And E3 hasn't even rolled around yet. Yep, I'm excited.
 
I still have marked on my calendar (yes, THAT MUCH OF A DORK) when Mario was going to hit on May 7. That saddens me cause I had forgotten that May 15 was a delayed day. Thus, when I changed my calendar, I was this guy --> :(

I simply cannot wait. This game is going to be fantastic. I can't wait to learn a few more things, and then have tons of new stuff to discover when I have my own copy. I'll be in at launch for full price. It doesn't even matter.
 
The new video is awesome. The only thing I didn't like the look of was the wall hugging move. That looked kind of cheesey but obviously that is nitpicking. Either way I am picking this game up on launch (and probably scouring Wal-Mart for an early release) ;)
