New Non-GH Metal Gear: Sons of Liberty Rare?

I remember someone saying that a new MGS:SoL non-GH was rare. Is this true? If it is, is there even demand for it? Thanks.

Substance is rare but I've heard that a new non-gh sons of liberty is rare too. Need confirmation though.

I don't know about sealed, but my Gamerush has about 20 non-GH SoL for $7 each.

Well, I'm sure an opened non-GH MGS2 wouldn't be rare, as it sold quite well and became a GH quickly, which would be why a sealed non-GH would be rare. I don't know for sure though. Though I do know that PC/Ps2 Substance is rather rare compared to the Xbox version.

even if the PC version is hard to find, do not buy it. It tested even my patience, and I am a huge MGS 2 fan. It takes 7.8 gigs of hard drive space for the full install, the right analog stick never wanted to work, and closing the game ususally caused me to restart my PC.

That said the game does look great on the PC

But in contrast I've only seen 1 non-gh in all my travels, not that I was looking for the game. But I wouldn't think it was rare...maybe hard to find...

I don't think its very rare. My local CompUSA has a bunch of them and they are only going on ebay for around $20.

Why the would it be rare or even hard to find, Im sure there is like 3million copies floating around. Whats next, somebody asking if their copy of Vice City is rare?

No, it's not rare. But, hardcore MGS collectors will want a sealed non gh version and I'd be willing to bet they'd pay a pretty penny for it.

On a similar topic.....how rare is the MGS2:Substance PS2 strategy guide?? I don't think i ever saw it in a store. But, I just got one on ebay for $9 shipped.

Factory sealed, you could get some good money for it on ebay.

Used copies probably only $5 or so.

Less than 6 months ago I saw a boatload of non-GH copies of MGS 2: SoL at TRU. I think they were $20 but I was amazed that they had so many still. It must've been back stock or something. Very odd. I didn't pick any up cause I couldn't imagine they were rare or sought after.

Substance strategy guide isn't rare. I believe you can still get those on places like amazon, B&N, and such..for $15.

At least we kinda established that a new MGS:SoL non-gh isn't really in demand.
