New Oddworld Xbox Game
Has anyone seen a good price for the new Oddworld fps (xbox) game?
Lanning and Co. shot themselves in the foot by moving this to Xbox only. I don't care what he said on "ICONS", but it was a bad business move. Your fan base is in PS land. Damned if I'm buying that system just to play the series, no matter how much I loved it.

wasn't the last oddworld xbox only as well? thats where its been this entire generation.

What exactly did Lanning say on ICONS? I understand that after Microsoft bailed from their Oddworld publishing agreement EA agreed to publish the new game for both Xbox and PS2. My understanding is that development troubles with the PS2 port caused its delay/cancellation. EA is a big PS2 supporter, so I can't imagine they would let a PS2 port die without some good reasons.

He skirted the issue mosly, but just said that from a dev point, it was easier to work with.
Frankly, I did play Munch, and the frame rate, animation, and controllability were subpar. Embarrassing for the series, actually.
Now for a system that was easier to dev on, and allowed more playability/memory/graphics, they wholly underutilized the platform. It felt like a 20 dollar game.
Ultimately, deciding to go that route and not using its full potential to me says you found a better financial deal and completely lost sight of what you were trying to do.
I'm sure Stranger will make up for this, but the damage is done.
Cross-plat it, beg for your fans' forgiveness, and hope they do.
maybe they can't make it a port to the ps2...ea loves the money, but maybe it isn't worth the cost to port it
I'd say Oddworld tends to use sub-par as their base line when making games. I wasn't much of a fan of any of the previous Oddworld games, and I never found the animation or framerate to be exceptional.
