Why so expensive for old system?

I remember seeing one of these on youtube except it used compact flash cards. I would love to have one of these, but the prices for these things are ridiculously high. I'd rather buy a USB adapter that lets you connect your old school controllers to a computer.

agreed, the portable adapters that accept micro sd, are dirt cheap, shouldn't be two much of a leap for console carts. Even though the market is small, im surprised China isn't all over this... they make everything else
