New TRU clearance as of 4/14

Finally, I have reason to write again as a whole bunch of games are finally going on clearance! Of course, some of these games are only going down $.01, from a .99 to a .98 price point, but this puts them in the 'clearance' category and therefore eligible for the extra '20% off' currently offered on all clearance.... Also, the percentage taken off clearance will be going up over the next couple of weeks, and though I couldn't get an exact timetable I do know future signs will read "Save up to 80% when you take an extra 50% off". Right now they read "Save up to 70% when you take an extra 20% off", so make of that what you will. In any case, I suggest grabbing the games you want ASAP and holding onto them unopened (if you're a really hardcore CAG, anyway) until the dust settles; TRU will definitely honor their prices should clearance go lower over the next few weeks after you buy them.

For the lazy or math challenged, remember:
19.98 - 20% = $16 ; 14.98 - 20% = $12 . By 4/14, if clearance hits 30%...well, even lower prices of course!

I'll have to check the price changes at my store tomorrow to see if there is anything to add to this list. I did read that the clearance % off ends on 5/10. The largest sign I've seen at my store is "Save up to 85% off" so I would assume 35% additional off before it ends.
 
I may pick up a couple of copies of Shadow Run to gift out, as I'd like to see it make a comeback... I wish that the rumored content would've came out, another character class would be awesome. Shadow Run II is in my top ten most anticipated sequels fo' sho'.

Blue Dragon? Holy crap, I'll keep an eye out for it, even if I have no time for the game. Hmm.

And if you can find Elite Beat Agents for the discounted price—hell, even at the regular clearance of $15—buy it ASSAP, 'cause it's golden.

Since Blue Dragon seems to be a favorite (and rightly so!) I wanted to inform/remind fellow retail-slaving CAGers there is a way to get this game for $9--as long as the store you're employed with sells video games. Simply go to www.microsoft.com/expertzone and sign up for the rewards program. Enter code FCC7BF1664 and you'll start off with 2000 reward points. Further points can be easily accrued by taking 'courses' on different MS games/products. The best way to finish these quick is to read the questions at the end first and then scan the 'course' for the answers. Within a couple of hours you should have enough points to get an MS published game for $9.00 even, no S&H charge.
The list of available games isn't too extensive, but includes Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, and Halo 3.
Again, only people employed in video-game retailing stores are eligible...and there is a one copy of each title limit.
But hey, can't really beat Mass Effect for $9 delivered to your door, right? :)

And...am I the only one psyched about getting Jeanne D'Arc for $16!?--or maybe even less?:D Where's the love, people?

Just a heads up, a couple games, Perfect Dark Zero(357593) and Ninety Nine Nights(619083) are actually getting marked UP to 19.98 at my store. I will be back later to post what games at my store are being marked down that isn't on Starving Gamers list.

They are still doing this program? My Xbox collection got HUGE back when I worked at CC for a summer in college. Back then though, I believe you only paid S&H for the titles...something like

That may have been the case with the old expertzone site that only offered Xbox courses. This new site offers all Microsoft courses, so as long as your job sells anything Microsoft, your eligible on the new site.

Thanks for the lists fellas! Seems strange that a few games are going up (360-Blazing Angels, N3, PDZ) to 19.98 and that Condemned wasn't already 19.98 @ prim4444's store. How about MotoGP 07 already dropping to clearance. What is it, five or six months old? Is there an 08 about to come out or something? That's the only one that really interests me this time. I was really hoping for Dead Rising, Hitman, and Godfather to drop, especially during the % off sale. Then again I'll be out of town all week and I'd miss out on those last few copies.

It'll top out at 50%?

Blazing angels is going down in my store, not up. Right now it's 39.99 here. I also forgot to put down Blood Money on my list. It will be 14.98. Also, Starving Gamer has the Godfather for PS3 dropping and I have it for the Wii dropping, So I would assumer that it would be the same for the 360. Remember, this list just shows what our stores have in stock and not every thing that will go down.

Are you sure it wasn't Blazing Angels 2 on the new list? The only reason I ask is because Blazing Angels (360) was $9.90 in the last round of clearance, and the MSRP for Blazing Angels 2 seems to be $39.99.
 
I've wanted Jeanne D'Arc for a while now but never saw it for less than $30. Though $30 was cheap for a PSP game anyway.... I might look into this!

That is an excellent point, prim. If a game my store no longer has in stock drops in price, it won't appear on my weekly price changes. Also, the main reason for the YMMV on the title is that not all titles seem to drop at the same time or to the same price point in all markets...I'm gonna have to check on Bleach tomorrow, though since it wasn't on my list we're probably out of stock.

Of course, there is a level of YMMV to TRU like just about all of the chains' clearances so maybe it hadn't dropped at his store yet like Condemned.

It might just be. My list just gives it as Blazing Angels. You know how TRU is on how they label there games.

Yeah that's true. 95% of the games you listed were also on my list. Although I havn't seen some of these games my store is supposed to have in forever. As we say in my store, someone must have borrowed it. I'm located in Southern California so those of you in my area know what to look for.
 
I think my local TRU has 2 or 3 copies of elite beat agents left. If that 50% off clearance thing happens, I'll definitely buy them all for gifts at the sub-$10 mark
