First time poster but just recieved an email from Newegg for their labor day sale and they have Deus Ex on sale for $49.99 with free shipping and Madden 12 at $49.99 with free shipping. Good way to save $10 bucks on either game if you werent able to get in on any other of the offers before the released.

With newegg usually you need to be subscribed to receive their email notifications for the promo codes to work, just something to keep in mind in case someone tried code and doesnt work.

You don't need to be subscribed, you just have to have a newegg account. As long as you have an account, the promo codes are not unique to the customer they are sent to.
I didn't see Madden 12 mentioned anywhere in the linked thread..
it isn't but there's 4 threads on the 1st page regarding madden, the Deus Ex deal was on the 1st page too but the OP said it's his 1st post so I wasn't tryin 2 bomb on him. I figured it should be easier to find the madden deals than the Deus Ex one.

madden should always be ~40 bucks =P Im amazed people blow 60 bucks a year for roster changes

anyway, im tempted on Deus Ex. Ive been curious if this would be any good, or a flop like the 2nd game. Im not in a huge rush to play it though so i'll just wait a couple months or so for it to hit 39.99 or less

I just played through Deus Ex. It was a fun game but really I could only see playing through it maybe 2X. One time just to be sneaky and the other to tear everything apart. Great story though. Just keep waiting I say.

huh, thanks for the heads up. Outa curiosity is it as rpgish as the first one? or did they go way more arcadey?

I really liked the customization and freedom the first one had

From the opening two missions I played, the combat feels like rainbow six vegas. Cover is important, and you are very, very fragile. It's important to have shots lined up before you peek out of cover, and you need to hide again, soon.

Sneaking is preferred, which gives it a first person Splinter Cell feel (or,..Deus Ex 1, if you played that.) Gives a bit more XP, too, I believe.

Madden should be a $20-$30 DLC pack, in all seriousness. You should be able to upgrade to this years version not be forced to spend $60 each year.

Also Deus Ex The Human Revolution is fucking awesome. It's almost as good as the first, and it does the first game justice. I really love it. As for customization and freedom, I feel like there is less customization but more augs. What I mean is there is a bunch of different type of augs, but they all fit into basic categories (stealth, hacking, combat, shooting, etc). What happens is everything you do (hack, kill people, complete quests, etc) grants you xp and you level up. Each level gives you a new aug point.

Combat is vastly improved over the first, then again it's been 10 years. Feels like Metal Gear Solid where you can be stealthy or take a gun and go rampage on everyone.
