Newegg Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe[PS3 and 360] for 39.99

I'm guessing the only reason It's not $20 is because Midway wants to milk it at the price of $40 or more as much as they can. I noticed at work we are getting in tons of Blitz 2's at $20 to. How much longer is it till Midway is completely bankrupt / no longer able to do anything? Since games are still getting printed...

I'm surprised that this isn't the across-the-board pricepoint yet. Well, maybe "yet" means through today.

Thanks for the post, though, OP. I had almost forgotten about this game. I'll be sure to keep half an eye out for its inevitable sub-$30 drop (soon?).

I want this game, but the only Mortal Kombat game I'd even think about paying more than $40 would be a Shaolin Monks sequel.
Ugly game IMHO :cold:. Not even worth $10. SFIV is way better ;).
Thanks for your opinion. Scram.

This game is fun as hell, but yeah, not worth 60 bucks. This is a little closer to reality, with 30 being the "you're a dumbass if you don't buy it" pricepoint.

there was no need for that, SF 4 is 10X better, MK vs DC is your casual fighter with combos that don't even work well

FYI to everyone out there. MIDWAY has gone Bust out of business, they stopped printing copies of Mortal Kombat vs DC a long time ago. Any copies that are out there now buy them while and if you can.

It will be as rare and expensive as Marvel vs Capcom 2.

So if you can find a new sealed copy or a Deluxe Collectors Edition buy it because It will only go up in value.

And its a pretty darn good fighting game with fun characters

BS. I work in retail and we see new shipments bi-weekly and they are still selling here and there.

This game will NOT be as rare as MVC2, how many copies were there of MVC2 versus this? Gimme a break.

Tho buying a cheap Deluxe Collectors Edition may be re-sellable for a decent amount in the future the CE also nets you the game in a cheap plastic paper sleeve.

Yeah besides MVC 2 is gonna be out on PS3 and live soon, I laughed at the demo

Now something you don't see is people playing MK competively with huge crowds gathered at tournaments! Shows you how MK can lack in depth when it comes to the learning curve

I might finally buy a PS3 just to get in on this DEMO early Plus Gamestop's sweet deal.

Trade in a old PS2 and 3 games get $100 off a PS3.

you can easily score a old PS2 on craigslist for $40 if you don't have one

$100 off traded in PS2
$100 off SONY VISA card deal

= $399 PS3 for $200 bucks

$200 for a PS3 is a fair price.
I might finally buy a PS3 just to get in on this DEMO early Plus Gamestop's sweet deal.
If you're dying to play the demo that bad, you may as well just get a Dreamcat and the complete game for under $100 total with no wait.

I've played the demo and can tell you you're not missing much. It's limited to 6 characters and local vs. matches only. There's no single player in the demo. The game looks to be a good port, but there's a lot of backlash going on against the demo.

Just the 360 version. The PS3 version comes in an actual game case. And for those of you wanting the MvsC2 demo It is local multiplayer only. No online play, no single player. If you do not have more than one controller you can not play the demo AT ALL.

MK vs DC is a terrible, terrible fighting game when compared to something like Street Fighter IV or even Soul Calibur IV (which I thought was decent at best).

MK vs DC is laughable. $40 is laughable.

Bargain bin title, through-and-through.

I'm really curious to try it, and will probably pick it up cheap enough. Wish there was a demo! Soul Calibur does NOTHING for me. I liked the first two (PS1/Dreamcast) okay, but they didn't blow me away. Hated the early Mortal Kombat games, but I don't like the extra complexity they've added on to Street Fighter 3 or 4 either, soooo....
