NFL 2007 Season Thread

At least the Jags aren't trying to pull a Pittsburgh, keeping it close in the first half then getting blown out in the second.

Do you Bostonians call that Rodney being Rodney? Meaning, racking up personal fouls, of course.

This game was over when the Jags kicked a FG instead of getting a TD on their first drive of the second half. To beat NE you either have to get pressure on Brady or match them TD for TD.

That being said the refs are letting the NE O-Line hold like crazy.

Yea I definitely wouldn't like him if he wasn't a Pat. But you have to admire his determination to get the job done

Disastrous day for the Jags return team

I just realized that if the colts and giants win tommorrow, and then they both win the conference and go to the superbowl, we'll have the Manning Bowl II!!!

that would suck for Archie though.

That would suck for Eli and the rest of the country as well. I don't want to watch Eli get romped by his brother 55-10.

I believe in Eli.
Pick!!

It was bound to happen so many close calls before that one happened
yea lol everyone watching with me knew there was going to be a pick

You gotta repect his passion for the game. He's gotta keep it in check sometimes though.

The Jags came with it, but the better team won tonight. Does SD have the early game tomorrow?

Yup, 1 EST. Good game by the Jags, absolutely amazing by Tom Brady. I was so sad when he missed his first pass.

SD Indy is a 1 eastern start. Boy this thread cleared out quick. Also according to TVguide.com the Pats game next Sunday is a 3 eastern start

Great game. Jacksonville is going to be one hell of a threat next year. I hope they play each other again next season.
At this rate, I can't see Dallas, New York, Indianapolis, San Diego or Green Bay beating New England. All, except for Green Bay have lost to New England. Green Bay can't win, because they're dirt.

Jags were too conservative on defense, they should have mixed it up a little. Oh well, it was a good game for a while; now I can watch the rest of the playoffs with less tension.

The Jags really brought a good game tonight. I'll give credit where it is due. They certainly are NOT a team to joke about and hopefully they'll continue to be a good solid team come next season.

I don't need to say much about the Patriots other than two games away from total perfection. :D

Great game tonight folks. My predictions on tommorow's two games (as in Giants and Colts) still stands. But we'll see on that.

Yes, Green Bay, who had to give the Seahawks a 14 point handicap just to make things interesting ;)

Haha, I really hope this is a good sign of things to come for Green Bay

I was really bummed when they had to punt, Favre should've broken his Post-Season TD Pass record D:

Even I who do not like Green Bay Packers knew that the Seahawks had no chance in hell of beating them.
Because the West coast doesn't care about sports the way the East does. They won't get the ratings from the West coast either way.
Hahahahahaha. Holy shit, your funny, really. Not like Richard Pryor funny, but that retard who falls in the pool by accident funny.

Well, as expected Tom Greaty had a near perfect game, ending 26-28 with about 260 yards and 3 TDs.

*bows down to Lord Greaty*

Can't wait for next weeks game against Indy...though I am slightly nervous. I'm surprised Moss didn't do much tonight; I'm sure he'll more than make up for it next week.

I was lucky enough to go to the game at Foxboro tonight with my sister. Had an awesome time, and the Jax fans were actually really decent (I suppose they had to be, outnumbered 5000-to-1).

Any slurping Tom Terrific gets, he freaking deserves. Period. Only 2 incompletions for the entire game, sick. Just sick. I also picked up some hater repellent in the pro shop on my way out.

I think tomorrow will be:

Giants over Dallas by a FG (my sister is a "Romosexual" and is picking Dallas)
Indy over San Diego by 14

Green Bay advances, good for them. I wouldn't have guessed they'd be this good this year in a million years. I think Shaun Alexander had a tough time running the football with that giant fork sticking out of his back.

Wow, how did you get those tickets? I imagine they're worth some crazy amount at the moment.

Its a fact. The weather is nice all year, and people have many other things to do.

Theres no denying it, and theres no shame in it. Its just the facts of the matter. The Chargers didn't even sell out their playoff game against the Titans, they were almost blacked out locally. The Oakland A's regularly don't sell out playoff games. The passion for the teams is not quite the same over there.

2 upper deck tickets going for about 500 right now for the colts game today when we win today we are going to repeat last year and kick the shit out of the pats on the way back to the superbowl to face the packers
Wow, how did you get those tickets? I imagine they're worth some crazy amount at the moment.
My uncle and my father share season tickets. Maybe they'll both get sick and we'll get to go to the AFC Championship game, heh heh.

Fixed.
Kinda off topic but anyone see that Korean guy on ESPN and the Seahawks? Fun stuff. Forget his name though.
Kim il zong or whatever? that was hilarious. who is that guy anyway?
That's really clever. Did you come up with that on the fly?
i know quite original. I don't think there is anything more irritating than schmucks thinking they are smart by messing with other people's posts
That's really clever. Did you come up with that on the fly?
I wish. I've been sitting here thinking about it since DemoMan posted almost 14 hours ago. Then it hit me. Of course, I then had to decide whether or not I wanted to bold or underline my edit. I eventually decided on neither, but I did want to enlarge it a tad, so I had to decide how large I wanted it. The end result is what you saw above. Glorious, don't you think?
Who fumbled the one catch he got!
YES!
im rooting for the colts on this one, but i gotta admit, i lauged a little when it happened

So am I (the Colts are the lesser of 2 evils for me) but I thought it was hysterical.

Jeez the Bolts look disorganized. I know they scored but they are not handling the noise well with all of those false starts and burning through their timeouts like that.

It probably wouldn't hurt to spread some germs around the house :D.
