Nice used guide haul at gamestop

I got a bunch of old ones, they were diddy kong racing (both nintendo and prima ones), wave race blue storm, la pucelle tactics, darkstalkers (think this may be valuable, from gamefan and can't find on ebay), darkstalkers jedah's damnation (only one copy on ebay, at 20 bucks and has about 12 hours left), klonoa 2, bomberman 64 and wild arms 2 for 11 bucks (after member card). Also found super mario kart super circuit at comp usa for .01.

I already have la pucelle so I'm gonna sell that on ebay, last I checked it went for about 12 so I'll probably get all those above guides for free once the la pucelle is gone.

They also had metal gear solid and metal gear solid 2, but I had no interest in them. They were all at the same gamestop, wonder if someone brought the old ones in all at once or just by coincidence a few people brought in old ones (the only one of the above that was there last week was wave race).

Na, I'm keeping them (except for the la pucelle, which I bought just to get my money back). I'm starting to have a nice guide collection, courtesy of gamestop, best buy (and futureshop) in canada, and a mom and pop video game store near here.

Though all the gamestops around here take and sell them, never been to one that didn't. They only give 25 or 50 cents though (can't remember), so it's not worth trading them in unless they are absolutely worthless and you have a lot.

Just out of curiosity, how long have stores been pennying out guides? I found an extreme g guide (for n64) in my closet with a .01 toys r us sticker on it, which suprised me since I thought the first time I heard of penny guides was on this website. Also, a few of the ones I got today (both darkstalkers, bomberman 64 and one of the diddy's) had penny stickers from EB under the 1.99 used one.

The ones in your area most certainly should. But you only get 0.25-0.50 each on average.
