Nintendo DS Release Schedule

CAGiversary!
Does anyone have a release schedule for the DS? By release schedule I mean a chronoligical list of all the DS games with official release dates. I want to find out which games will be out by christmas and then another date. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but is that list accurate? It shows 12 launch titles, but I thought it was down to 5 or 6 now?

Wow, that schedule sucks so far. I only saw 1 good game before X-mas, and in Ninendo fashion, it's a Mario port.
was ff3 even released in the states?
Not yet, but it probably will be sooner or later on the DS.

And it's an improved port of an already excellent game. Quit trolling.

I honestly believe that with all the advancement done you can no longer call it a port, I mean at least 3 more characters, at least 1 new course, 30 more stars, more rabbits, new fire flower item, and awesome multiplayer modes doesn't sounds like just a port to me.

You need to pay more attention to less publicized games like Sega's Feel the Magic which looks like its going to rock with its Wario Ware-type gameplay.
FF3 Dec. 31 2005? Bullshit.
Awhile ago in one of their Mailbags (not sure what Channel) they addressed that games they listed for 12/31 actually meant sometime that year. I don't recall as to why they just don't put "Sometime 2005" though.

Ordinarily, a retailer has to specify a date (no matter how inaccurate) in order for employees to take pre-orders on an item. How important that is for a game like FF3 on DS (which nobody has actually seen yet) is another question entirely.

I'm really torn as to whether to get a DS or not - as much as I like getting new relase titles - there's nothing more fun than getting a brand-new system and Feel the Magic plus Mario DS is probably enough to last until after Christmas.

Remember too that Nintendo always releases a round of big games in late January/early February (in years past it was Mario Kart 64, Eternal Darkness, Metroid: Zero Mission, for example). Not too far off for Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing DS and hopefully that new 2D/3D Mario Bros. game.

Enternal Darkness came out in June/July, and Metriod: Zero Mission I think came out later than Febuary.

It's not trolling saying the only good DS game for awhile is a Mario port, it's the thruth. I love how Nintendo says that it's "innovating" and will bring the second coming of the video game industry, yet all their games are ports and sequels besides two, and one doesn't even need the touch screen (Mario Bros. 4).

Ah, you're right about Eternal Darkness...sorry about that. I still hold out hope for that all-new Mario Bros. game. Playing the Bowser levels in Paper Mario TTYD was a trip.

Wouldn't Final Fantasy 3 be a port of the one that was released for the SNES some odd years ago? Which was actually FF6 in Japan? It seems weird that Square Enix woul release the real FF3 here in America finally, especially on the DS...

Its the reall FF3. I think they are going to go in order on the Nintendo handhelds.

FF1 and FF2 for the GBA
FF3 for the DS

hmmm...graphically they could go up to at least 8....

Saying that the only good DS game is a Mario port is not trolling, unfortunately it's true. I really want a DS, but I'm going to wait for them to put out at least one game that I actually want before I buy one. I already have Mario 64.

PSP has a pretty lame set of launch titles also, but the've probably got me with Metal Gear Acid. I'm not sure if I'll be able to resist a new Metal Gear.

Opinion, not truth.

Did you know that people play all sorts of video games for enjoyment puposes? Just because every title coming out for it is not some blockbuster POS that everyone "must have" you say the line up sucks.

Oh, and i hope you realize MGS is a stealth card game. Sounds fun to me, but im kinda hoping it pisses a lot of people off.

You can't have "truth" in a situation like this. There is no absolute; saying it's the only good game implies that you've played all of the launch titles, and further that they disappoint. A correct statement would be "the only game I'm interested in at launch is the Mario port." Saying anything else is foolish.

That said, I wouldn't overlook Feel the Magic, since the truly bizarre has had a funny way of delivering fun gameplay as of late (see also: Katamari Damacy).

As to MGA, I'm keeping a close eye on that one as well. Though the thought of a card-based strategy Metal Gear doesn't particularly strike my fancy, I haven't been let down by Kojima yet -- even the barebones Advance Wars ripoff was pretty fun.
