check the video game deals forum. There was a deal at Game Crazy and Target for DS systems. Buy a DS system and get a free game. So that would make the DS around $99.00.

best bet is checking one of the sam goody stores that is closing in your area. I got mine last week for 91 plus tax (so about 95 bucks). They had quite a few left on friday last time I checked.

What in the world is your tax rate? Do you not have police departments in your city or something?
 
if you can find the nintendogs bundle at target(the teal one that says "best friends bundle") it should ring up for $99.(new system and game)
