Nintendo Help

Hello All,I'm new to the forum.

First Id like to say I know this section of the forum is meant for the wii and not The SNES!

I have a british SNES console with all of my american games, converter, etc.

I have a small flat screen tv that I have been trying to get it working on.

I have tried the original cable that goes into the aerial socket,no luck.

I have also bought a scart cable,no luck.

The most I have got is a black screen.

I remember some years ago I used an older box shaped tv which worked fine.

Therefore I think the answer is to buy an older tv (which is what Im looking into!)

What do you think,any ideas?

Many Thanks,

Bryazz.

I for one have a PAL snes, and can verify that it will not work on an NTSC crt television. It will also not work on many lcd screens. The screen has to accept 50hrz and 60 hrz to use both PAL and NTSC signals. I was lucky enough to find a dvd player that accepted both signals....So unless you have a TV that accepts both signal,s Oniak, you are screwed.

And no, widening the cart slot will not allow you to play NTSC games. you need to disable the lockout chip, or even better, do the 50/60hrz snes mod.
