Sweet! I'm just starting to buy games for the Wii, waiting for the price drop in May. Definitely going to pick up all Zelda and Smash Bros. if this turns out to be true.

Kind of wanting Super Paper Mario, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, and Mario Soccer more though. Hope they add more titles like Metroid Prime Trilogy or at least release Metroid Prime 1 and 2 separately at that budget price. Also, hope there will be reprints of these older titles, especially Battalion Wars 2 I can't find a store close enough.

Also, Metroid Prime 3 and Battalion Wars 2 are now $20 new at Gamestop, if anyone is looking for it.

Now if Nintendo would do the same with DS titles, maybe at $15. I'm talking about Super Mario 64 DS, Zelda Phantom Hour Glass/Spirit Tracks, New Super Mario Bros. DS, and Mario Kart DS.

In for Fire Emblem

No Brawl, no Wii Sports, no Third Parties.

No, that's a shop but pretty close given that the artist was going in blind.

Nintendo Selects. Not bad. Did City Folk really sell well enough to merit being in the line though?

3.3 million, but since Nintendo is running the line I suppose they can add whatever they want.

I can't believe Fire Emblem sold that much.

Well, the only four titles being introduced in the Wii Selects line are Animal Crossing, Mario Sluggers, Wii Sports and Twilight Princess. I don't think Fire Emblem sold that much but a reprint would be fantastic.

I remember being in a gamestop when a clueless soccer mom asked why Sluggers was $47.99 used. The clerk said "because they're hard to find."

---

I only mentioned FE cause of the first mock up.

So is there a complete list? If some of the games I own are on there, I will probably go trade them in before they drop in price.

There is now. Four games at the moment (check the 1st post).

I would love Fire Emblem, as I missed out on picking up a copy when it was clearance at Fry's for cheap. Galaxy 2/New SMB Wii are the other two I wouldn't mind getting or any Wii Pokemon title.

Nintendo - About damn time.

5 years later and they only include four games in the budget line, including one that has been free with the system its entire life? Come the fuck on Nintendo.

I'm hoping that they bring back punch-out for $20, never found it cheap and didn't want to pay $50 for it while it was still in print.

I'm sure we'll get more over time. Maybe Nintendo doesn't want to put up a big library of Nintendo Selects games right away after the 3DS launch...that might affect 3DS sales even further, I dunno. If we waited 5 years, we can wait a little longer.

I expect Metroid Prime Trilogy to be put on this later this year. Same goes for Mario Party 8, Strikers Charged and Wario Ware Smooth Moves.

And even though I have 2 copies of Trilogy...probably would buy it again.

Damn. That's too bad MP8 isn't on that line.

And LoL @ "Nintendo Selects" when I hear "Selects," I think of chicken tenders at Mcdonalds.

Happy to see these, I am hoping for a $20 punch out and one day a $20 DKC:R. I know Donkey Kong is not going to happen but one can dream. I am expecting probably 6-8 months if not longer to see more select titles because. it's Nintnedo's ability to fuck with us. They do it with the virtual console, they have the ability to release tons of good games then they fuck us over by waiting a fucking eternity to release a good game.

$30 at kmart now.

Brawl has been down to around $20 on the used market at least on ebay I have seen a few times and Excitebots was 9.99 at Target recently on clearance if you could find one. Regardless with these releases its a great time to buy a Wii if you have never owned one especially with the Mario Kart bundle out now. I would pick up brawl if it went to $20 but I think I would wait for cheaper used copies to flood the market which often happens with GH/PC titles. I would also like to see a cheap software only copy of Mario Kart come into play, I would get that for sure.

I swear if I ever see that smug asshole's face in person, I will punch it.

It bothered as well me because I thought of meat and poultry. Now that you've mentioned I now think about McDonalds Selects instead.:bouncy:

Gamefly had it up middle of last year for about $18.99, so it's been down lower in price, but best bet keep checking around, maybe you might be able to grab it at Hastings when they have 30% off and get it for cheap.

As a courtesy I checked for ya they have previously viewed copies for $19 (sold out at the moment) and used for $33 (30% off will get it down to $23.79, plus shipping, so about $26-ish, shipped)

You'll have to decide if it's worth it, don't forget to look around you might luck out and find it hovering around $20 somewhere, keep lookin'. ;)

It had to sound High Grade.

It's amazing that Nintendo was able to hold out this long to release a value line of games... box art is actually pretty nice. Too bad the selection isn't all that great, outside of TP.

Europe doesn't even get TP. They get Warioware: Smooth Moves instead.

To be fair I really liked WarioWare and it's good to see a reprint of it, but still replacing TP for that is a bad idea.

If you're being fair you should also mention that Smooth Moves 1) wasn't nearly as unpredictable and fun as previous WW titles, 2) could be infuriating in terms of game control (matching positions on-screen to Wiimote equivalent), and 3) should've cost $19.99 from the start for what you get out of the game.

I saw some of the Nintendo Select titles at my local Gamestop. They weren't for sale until Sunday according to the employee, but saw three titles.

The titles were Zelda Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, and Mario Baseball. I might get Wii Sports used since it is only $10 used, but having a case/manual is always a plus. I wonder what Wii Sports manual will look like in the Nintendo Select version of it?

No Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Animal Crossing, or Mario Kart. I was hoping for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii, especially Mario Kart because it is being bundled with Wii systems now. :(
