So, anyone ordered from Nintendo before on the ShopNintendo website? I think that's where I picked up Pokemon Box from but I think that's the only time I've ever ordered from there. I noticed they have manuals from older systems (going back to even the NES).

Has anyone ever ordered manuals from there? I kindof doubt they'd be originals- as it says they may be photocopies or originals- but I'm wondering if anyone has tried. It'd be nice to get some if they had them, even going back to some of my incomplete N64 games.

N64 ones might be originals. More likely than the NES ones being legit at least. I haven't tried ordering manuals from them before.

If you decide to roll the dice and order a few, please post back here and let us know what happens.

EDIT - Someday I need to bite the bullet and order some official strategy guides from there before they vanish forever.

It'll probably be after Christmas but I lost my little Personal Trainer: Walking pedometer while running last night :( and they have replacements for that for $15.

If I decide to do some manuals, I'll post back

Like it says, if they don't have originals they will give photocopies. I ordered a Pikmin (gamecube) manual from them and received the photocopied version.

First thing to note about the copies - there's no way you're fitting this inside of any case. They print them off on high quality 8.5 x 11 paper. The order they were copied prevents one from getting fancy with a pair of scissors and making your own booklet.

Honestly I can only recommend ordering if you absolutely need manuals for reference, as there is no way they can substitute a real manual. It wont fill the void in your collector's heart the way a real one would.

Yeah, they're only color photocopies on standard 8.5x11 paper. You can't just cut the borders and make a booklet either, they're not organized that way.

I ordered a Super Mario World manual, and it came as an original. Of course, this was in 1997, and I ordered it with a replacement SNES mouse

I'm likely going to pick up a few of the harder to find guides once I decide to bite the bullet and order a replacement Sensor Bar for my second Wii.
