Nintendogs Questions

CAGiversary!
1. Is this a time oriented game? like can I play it at 2 in the morning, or is my dog always going to be sleeping?

2. Is it normal for my dog to not respond to it's name? when I say it he just ignores it, the only way to get him to respond is to tap the screen. He responds to the trick commands for the most part.

3. Are the disc competitions mostly based upon your throwing? or does the dog really get better if you practice in the park?

1) your dog will be sleeping if it's 2am, but you can just wake it up. also, it'll get used to the times that you play with it. so if you play with it during 2am regularly, it'll be awake at that time.

2) i'm pretty sure it's normal, unless your dog is really obidient.

3) i think the dog does get better at catching if you practice in the park enough. but it's also based on how well you throw it also.
thanks, I'm always nervous about waking him up =P don't wanna disturb the little guy
Meh. If you haven't played with your dog all day, it's better to wake it up at night and feed it than to just let it go hungry for the entire 24 hour period. Otherwise, it's best to try to keep your dog on a regular schedule... trainer points seem to rack up more easily if you keep feeding and walks and stuff to a fixed time-table.

Also, be sure to tug at that leash when you're on a walk and see a present on the street, and also tug the leash when your dog goes up to a pile of garbage.

I can't believe I'm still playing this game on a daily basis. That's another three months worth of fun gaming from Nintendo! BTW, my trainer point total is up over 19,000.

should you always feed it when the status says hungry? like if you just open it up for 5 minutes and 2 hours later you open it up again? or should it only have to eat a couple times a day?

Make sure you turn the microphone setting down to "normal" rather than "high." That will make training / playing with your dog ever so much easier and enjoyable.
