So im fairly frustrated. I started having issues not being able to hear any chat or anyone hearign me. ive since had the same issue with the tritton ax180's and the turtle beach x1's

when I set the voice to come through the speakers its there, just nothing through the headset.
My headset is not muted. Ive also tried several controllers with identical results.

Im able to record and hear a message with voice. the headset icon shows i have a headset plugged in but it never changes to show me talking.

Help would be outstanding. ive checked troubleshooting procedures and am stumped.

Sounds like a wiring thing, but having that same issue with three different headsets would be weird. With my normal 360 headset I have a wiring issue, I cant hear anyone but I can still talk to them.

well it sporadically at best shows the headset icon. i tried it on my other xbox with no luck. im baffled really.

You might want to make sure that your privacy settings are set to everyone. Sometimes mine switches over to private for no reason and i cant hear anybody.

good call. ill check it.
i switched profiles and chat works. really weird. i bet thats what it is. at least i hope.

In whatever game you're playing, go into the options and adjust the master volume down. Even when I had my voicechat options set on any of the choices, in certain games I can't hear it over the in-game audio. Adjusting the in-game audio fixed the issue for me in every instance I tried. Hope that helps!

Put the sound output to " both " instead off speakers . And did you do the thing where you set the audio to surround instead of stereo ?

it's the wiring on the headset and various people have complained about it. tb is aware of it and have done nothing to fix it. only fix is to fix it yourself or order a replacement part which is $12 (the puck part that is) and tb are cheap, only made to last awhile.

thanks for the bump. my problem wasnt related to the headsets at all. i was using a wireless N bridge, apparently they have problems with voice chat.

i had to buy a new mic myself today ass**** meijers didn't have wireless

i tried my old and new on my old controller didn't work. tried it on my new controller and BOTH work but they both fuzz in different ways when at full volume (didnt do this before) my friends say they can hear me fine (with new controller).. on the new mic i cant hear fuzz, but when i record my voice i hear it, but my friends say its fine(although the volume wasn't high) i haven't tested my old mic with my friends but in record it fuzz's twice as bad as the new.

the new mic (with the volume near the plug) is so annoying to wear!

i preferred the puck with the mute and volume within thumbs reach.
