Nodus PSP sound System $50 at CC
Reg. $200 is $50 at the City.
$100-Target
$150-EB/GS
$120-BB(at mine atleast)
I might actually buy one if they sound really really nice....these portable speaker sets are always super nice for hotel rooms when I'm on the road :)

Tempting to buy one at Best Buy and then show them this and get the difference +10% back. Total price would be $35. Hmmmm.....

Best buy does 10% off their price with a price match? I thought it was 10% off the actual price match price.....

Picked one up today....Thank's OP. Works great -sound is actually pretty good, could use a tad more bass but hey the price is right. Also works with an I-POD, great all around deal for $50.00

Picked up one this morning also. Yeah, it does sound really good.

In for one... $50 is still a big chunk of change, but original price is $199, so can't really beat this deal, thanks op!

Pretty sure it's handy, not only for PSP...

So this would play any device that have a headphone jack right?

And can you another auxiliary input? I want a longer one.

It's 110% of the difference. Let's ignore tax for the time being. If you show the price to a BB employee, she's get a manager and (eventually ) PM CC price. But if you buy the item for their price (199.99) and THEN show up with the CC price of $49.99, that's a difference of $150. They would then refund you $150 + $15 or a total of $165, so your cost would only be $35 (plus tax). Of course it's a hassle and that's a freakin huge sound system for my available space so I still think I'll pass, but it's tempting.

Ok I just picked up one of these at CC. The sound is real good, clean rich sound. It does not get super loud but the difference is amazing. You use the Aux jack for playing games on the PSP and you can hook a walkman or ipod to this jack. i must say it doesn't look or feel cheap, it looks awesome when the PSP is docked. I leave it on my desk to watch movies, play mp3 or slideshow photos. It also charges your Psp when docked.

If anyone has any questions about this product, feel free to ask.

Thanks CAG, another great deal!

Just went to my local Circuitcity today. They have 2 left in stock. One is open, the box is in very bad condition and one is still seal. I picked up the seal one. Will try my White PSP and my Ipod,Sansa on this speaker. $49.99 is a great price.

How do you change the viewing angle for the PSP? Is it on a smooth swivel, or does it "click" to a few (how many?) different positions?

I pulled the trigger on one. I have a Nyko Theater Experience I picked up on clearance for $15, but the speakers suck and it needs a full charge to power the sound (it is a great battery recharger and travel case, though).

The ability to use this up to six feet away from the system while getting the great sound probably clinched this for me

If buy another cord you can sit even farther. I picked one up for $45 (they PMed a BB coupon $5 off PSP), it sounds fantastic and looks great, but it isn't very portable. It comes with a cloth bag.

I was close to buying the Logitech PSP speakers because they are much more portable, any reviews of that?
Hey! That looks just like my room ! ^^^^^^^^ :)
Me too!

In for one, thanks OP.

I have them ($20 @ Target, possibly elsewhere), and here's a summary:
PROS: look cool, decent mids and highs, very portable
CONS: below-average lows / bass, doesn't charge the PSP, slight crackle when at max volume

...to be honest, these things work GREAT for watching movies and listening to average music / podcasts, especially when you're stuck in a hotel room (I love being able to listen to podcasts without being attached to headphones!); but, remember: you get what you pay for, so don't expect them to replace your home stereo or make your heavy metal sound sweet. BOTTOM LINE: not worth the original $50 MSRP, but a great purchase at $20.

Just hooked up this Sound system with my baby White PSP. The sound is very great when I watch Anime Movie. It's worth $50 I spent and great for my bed time. Wish have more UMD movies to play.

The remote

is there any indication that the power is on? I dont see any power lights or anything. It does look sweet though.

You'll hear a small sound from this speaker when it's on. The speaker will automatically turn off in 10 minutes if it doesn't have any devices plug-in.

There's no indication that I can see. There's a green LED on the AC adapter that I think is always on. You hold the power button for half a second to turn it on and 2.5 seconds to turn it off so I just tap the button and listen for it to power on. There's a tubular opening in the back basically making the entire thing is a subwoofer so lack of bass is not a problem. I watched a little T2 to test it out and it sounded fantastic, I tried my iPod earlier and it sounded great. I thought at first I got a little distortion at a high volume but after listening to some other tracks I think it was just a poor mp3. You can put an iPod in sideways where the PSP goes.
Pretty good deal, but how detailed is the audio for such heavy-duty speakers? Does it just make it loud?
For the PSP, the audio is clean as can be. For my iPod, I had some feedback if I touched the AV wire at all, but that's probably because it's a crappy wire.

The review says you can tilt the dock forward to make it easier to insert your PSP, does anyone know how to do that?
Going to PM this badboy to BB and get it for 35!
Wait how? 10% plus and $5 coupon?
BB sells for $200. So $150 off ... 10% of that is $15.... $50-15 = $35.
Ok, thanks!

when you price match to bb do you get the 10% off with the price match? or do you have to buy at full price then go back to price match and then you get the 10% off.

Good luck with PMing BB... i thought once you PM, you can't use coupon anymore, or maybe just store coupons are not allowed after PM?

You're supposed to pay full price for the item, then come back with the competitor's price, and they match the competitor's price and give you 10% of the difference. A nice young lady rang up mine at Customer Service, and did it both transactions at once, so I didn't have to come back to Best Buy. I'm in for two at $35 each :D

Hey, I was looking to get one of those NYKO Theater Experience cases. Can they still be found for $15?

He is correct, beat me to it

I picked one of these up at Best Buy today. I knew that my local Circuit City didn't have them in stock, so I was afraid they wouldn't price match, but I went armed with a printout of the CC web site. When I talked to someone in electronics, they said that it had to be in stock at the local CC for them to do the pricematch, so it didn't sound too hopeful, but I went to customer service anyway. The guy said he would pricematch and didn't mention about it having to be in stock. He went away for a while and I was afraid he was calling, but he came back and did the price match with no problem. I didn't press the 110% price match issue, since I thought that might be pressing my luck. The main reason I wanted to price match was because I had some Reward Zone coupons to use.

I'd say it's a pretty nice little system. I figured out how to turn on the PSP with the remote, but is it possible to turn off the PSP with the remote as well? I had trouble figuring that out. It sounds quite good from the PSP and from an iPod that I connected with the aux cable. I'll have to say that it's terribly overpriced at $200, but $50 isn't bad at all.
The review says you can tilt the dock forward to make it easier to insert your PSP, does anyone know how to do that?
You just pull it toward you. Aside from that, the dock doesn't seem adjustable for a better viewing angle, though.

Hey, so people are actually enjoying this?

I always thought these iPod/PSP boomboxes seemed extravagant and needless, but if reports are otherwise I should try to grab one.

It really depends on if you have a need for such a device (if you need to listen to music in a room where you don't already have a computer with decent speakers or a real stereo). If you do, you could do a lot worse than these.

So I go to BB to get one today and PM it. While Pming 2 BB employees overheard what I was doing then the CSR helping me told me that she needed to keep my printout (never have they "needed" to keep printouts). Eventually get home and I check bb.com just to see if the employess snagged the rest. Yep, all 3 were gone within minutes. Kinda sucks, I was thinking about getting another for a friend. Can employees PM?

It sounds excellent! Great bass and depth in the song, it doesn't just amplify the psp, it's comparible to the increase of quality and depth if you use headphones. I turned it all the way up, and it sounds great!! Louder then I expected.

As far as getting it, I wanna say thanks to the OP because this was a great deal. I double taked when i saw the title. At first I didn't care, but looking at the reviews, It was an official sony product and the big discount from 200 got me.

In the end, I went to CC to buy it, went to BB to pricematch with the reciept, thanks to a very helpful CSR, and returned to CC once again to return the original. My CC is less then a block from the BB so it was no problem for me. (15 dollars is alot to me...)

Thanks so much for this, I normally wouldn't look twice at the speakers for any DAP, but this was such a great deal. I am completly satisfied. Almost wanted to get another, but I really wouldn't use the other one.
