I wanted to do some research on HDTV so I can get one on blackfriday. There's so many things I need to know... What's better: LCD, LCD Projection, 3LCD, or DLP. What's the best brand of HDTVs? Some sellsman I was talking to said there's some new technology coming out.. some kind of color wheel or something. Anyone hear about this?

I found this: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=ELEC&pid=05742185000 1080p hdtv for only $630? I know its CRT but still.. can't really find a cheap 1080p tv these days. I'm looking for a 26'-40' hdtv... preferably supports 1080p.

Any input on this will be greatly appreciated.

Out of everything you mentioned get a DLP. I prefer plasma but DLP is also fantastic. I wouldn't buy a $700 TV though when for about twice that you could get a TV a million times better. Trust me, it's worth it. Wait until Best Buy does a 10% off weekend and get one for 2 years no interest financing. That's exactly what I did and I have no regrets at all.

It also depends on what ur using the tv for. Videogames and dvds mainly, regualar tv, sports etc. I just bought a rear projectin LCD and i Love it. DLP is overrated to me. Plasma looks the best but is the most expensive and isnt good for videogames. But do some resarch on them and see which one best fits you. But i would agree to spend more then 700 its well worth it
