As an Xbox 360 gamer, having some sort rechargeable battery option for my controllers is a no-brainer. Aside from being environmentally friendly, the last thing you want to do is scavenge the house for a set of AA batteries in the middle of an on-line match (such as The King of Fighters XII). It's always a failed mission. If you need two, you'll find one. If you find none, you begin to think of the ramifications of "borrowing" batteries from the TV remote, or worse, your child's toys.
Rechargeable AA batteries are great, but you still have to worry about finding a matching set and keeping them from getting lost.
