In case anyone's interested in freeing their nunchuk from the Wii-mote, the Nyko Cord-Free Nunchuk Adapter is available at Buy.com for $8.99 with free shipping. List price is $19.99 and amazon.com is selling it for $17.99. I saw this deal on techbargains.com today. It will be a bit heavier than the Nyko Kama which outright replaces the first-party nunchuk.

Only other downside I can think of is that you could potentially let go of the nunchuk during play and damage your TV. I suppose you could jury-rig it somehow.
The other Nyko solution to a wireless nunchuk, the Kama, does come with a wrist strap, but it's list price is $34.99. There have been comments about it's accuracy and build. In addition, it looks like Nintendo may be trying to have it pulled, though, so you better get one before they succeed:
