Oceans Trilogy Blu-ray Boxset 11/12/13 $17.99 @Amazon

I like these movies quite a bit, mainly 1 and 3 more than 2. Seems like these guys had a blast making these things, and they're just kinda fun. Problem is I own them on DVD already and don't know if it's worth the upgrade. Any thoughts on the Blu transfers/differences over the DVDs? That, and they're on cable a LOT, as in, every single day practically, on numerous different stations. At least I have a week to think about it.

agreed, i love these movies. but i have no idea if it's worth the upgrade, i never owned the dvds so i thought it was/is a great deal. and yeah, i dont have hbo or movie channels, but it does seem that one of these is always on tnt or tbs or something similar. but i try my best to stay away from all those "edited for tv" movies. deals like this just make it easier.

I hated 2. I mean i really hated 2. I usually don't dislike films and I'm pro artistic freedom/trying new things but Oceans 12 was a clusterfuck of a mess. I think Julia Roberts died on the inside for having to be in Oceans 12. Just awful. USA network shows Oceans 11 a lot and HBO shows Oceans 13 a few times a week, I can see why this bundle would be so cheap. If they had Oceans 11/13 on sale for $6 each i'd probably pick them up.

Man, this is too good to pass up.

Like the others, I didn't like the second one as much but at $6 each I'd rather just have the whole set.

Thanks OP.

Weird. I thought the third one was the worst. I think I have fallen asleep watching it three or four times.

Either way, I think I'm in for this. Way bidding on one in a lowball on here but this actually beats that price, and it is brand new. Any videophiles here know how good these Blurays are?

IDK why all the hate for the 2nd film. It was still pretty good. It was part 3 and its cast of 20 well-known star actors that got a little out of hand...not to mention making Pacino seem old, senile and bat-sh*t crazy!

I'd be down for this if I didn't already have them on DVD/BD variants..

From a Pacino fan, I think he himself would even admit, he is kinda old, senile and bat-sh*t crazy. That's probably part of his appeal nowadays. :)

She has an Oscar, yes, but so does Sandra Bullock. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Katherine Zeta Jones, and even Matt Damon are better actors than Roberts.

Here's a good review of the trilogy for video/audio quality: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/1125/oceansgiftset.html

I missed out on this boxset way back when BN.com had it for ~$15 (order got delayed, then canceled), and I keep on missing the sales on WB's online store with all the coupons and cart manipulation (heh), so I won't miss another chance to get a deal on this. Thanks OP!

In for one. I had forgotten that I ordered it from BN last November. It was never cancelled and was still open until a few hours ago.
