I’ve been spamming the checkout button at Best Buy for that Super Smash Bros Ultimate Special Edition every chance I’ve had for the past 2 days and no luck. Anyone have any other tips to get one with my GCU?
 
How many of you nerds are actually going to use the PS4 Pro 500 Million? I know i'm going to. I already dumped the shitty looking controller on Ebay and sold my OG Ps4 from release years ago.

So what you are saying is if you really want one, head to Best Buy at or before opening on launch day. Also check the website the night before or early in the morning to see if they open up in store pickup for the item.

For the benefit of the community: I let an in-store pickup pre-order placed on BB site get canceled the other day because I didn't want it anymore. They preauthed at 2pm PT the day before release and canceled at 10pm PT on release day. So maybe check BB site at 10pm on release day for cancellations.

The pro runs everything better on 1080p than the og PS4. If you like the design and plan on getting the game then it's a positive upgrade for sure.

Do you happen to know if your store is getting any spiderman CE ps4 games? I was able to snag a CE console, but had no luck getting the CE game...

Kinda considering cancelling my Amazon Spidey PS4 Pro and hoping I can catch one in a local store instead. Not sure if its worth the risk though

You could do that trick I've seen others mention here. If you have an old card that has an expiration that is still within the date, like a card you had to cancel for security reasons, you could switch to that. Then you will get an unable to process notification when it tries to ship and bill, with a couple days to switch payment methods. That might give you enough time to see if a local store has one instead without risking the one on Amazon.

Ah thats really smart! Thanks, I think I have some recent used gift visa's that might work as well, or I could just grab a new one for this reason.

Yeah, I never even thought of doing that to an item I wouldn't want to ship right away. I may even do that to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Bundle order I have with them if Best Buy doesn't come through for me with a GCU discounted one.

 
I'm just glad I bought the King's Edition with the music box instead.  Gotta buy the stuff you really want; can't get worried about loss of value.   Half of them sell out and go up like DQ11 is about to do. 

 
Curious, since everyone here orders a lot of packages, am I the only one whose UPS drivers rarely knock? They just leave packages out in front of the home and leave without knocking? I've been sick of it happening so I called the UPS customer service and the operator told me this shouldn't be happening, all drivers are instructed to knock first even if they don't think anyone appears to be home.

UPS don't care. All that matters to their workers is most # of packages delivered per hour. They are incentivized to not waste any time at all and they don't want to get stuck talking to people.

Blame the company, not the drivers. You can thank their corporate workers for that business structure. It starts at the very top.

yeah that's the route I went, I've had pretty good luck with just waiting for AWD on ce's instead of impulse day one purchasing

 
Figured it'll be limited like how NNK1 CE was so got in since I missed that. No regrets since JRPGs usually have quite limited CE. NNK2 is an oddity in the amount they produeced. Only CEs I pre-order are those that are extremely limited, this is one of the few that wasnt in the long run.

It did. It wasn't until closer to launch (maybe 2 months or so) that it was in stock but the months before hand it was sold out. It sold out the day pre-orders went up too. Seems exactly like Bravely Second CE though.

Make the first one (Bravely Default) super rare. Overproduce the second one (Bravely Second). Make a third game (Octopath Traveler) and have it be semi rare. Prepare yourself for Ni no Kuni 3!

I can be there when the doors open at 9AM I guess, but I don't know if I should be running to the aisle, or if I should be running to the customer service desk?

That 1 extra that you receive over the preorder amount, is it put out on the floor or if I go to customer service they can just pull it up and have me pay, than bring it out later? What would you recommend?

Which is what I don’t understand. It’s numbered to 25,000. In essence it really is limited yet stores can’t get rid of their copies. I too bought it day one and preorderes in August 2017. Never even played the game yet, and I put in near 100 hours in the first game. It’s my favorite platinum.

Considering starting it NNK2 soon. Maybe.

I feel you man... one of the few CEs I purchased this year and I think there were copies on Amazon Warehouse popping up as like new for $65 (that many people reported were actually new).

So is the Yakuza Kiwami 2 steelbook edition sold out everywhere? I got a "cannot fulfill order but we'll find you another one" email before I left for PTO and now I get another email saying it's sold out. And I check online and there's nothing available anywhere..
