Of all the CE/LE you have purchased, which is your favorite and why? 


Mine is FE Fates. Not my favorite FE, but love the exclusivity of two games on one cart + DLC. 

 
Did anyone else get charged the full 50 for FFXII limited steelbook edition from Amazon? I know Amazon was removing prime discount for collector editions but i didnt think it was retroactive. I couldve sworn i had the prime discount when i ordered it.

I was charged $39.87 for the FFXII steelbook. Had Prime when I ordered, not when it shipped. And then they refunded me 12 cents.

I did, however, pay completely with a gift card long before release.

But seriously, I appreciate all the gratitude. It didn't really dawn on me until the 3rd hour how long the first post would take. The forum code doesn't always instantly link to the website, so I had to preview the post each time I created a link, otherwise I'd lose the URL. It gets way too absurdly big so I use google shortener to save on characters.

Input it like CE2, CE3, Book2, Book3. I tested using the actual website's name like Amazon, Best Buy, Square Enix. If multiple links are used with long names, it would make a 2nd line. I'd really like to keep it one line per game as much as possible due to how neat it is. Also I'd have to say the name with what it is in the title, otherwise no one would know what they're clicking on. 'Amazon CE, 'Square Enix Guide', which makes it longer and easier to get a 2nd or 3rd line.

I can test it out today and see. This is more for you guys, not me.

Bitmap Books has SNES/Super Famicom Visual Compendium coming in December and NEO GEO Visual History coming in September. Both have slipcase, hardcover "collector's" variants.

Also, how are we going to handle situations where a game has a CE guide and an artbook? The first post only has one "book" slot. Maybe change it to "[CE] [Guide] [Artbook] [Steelbook]"?

I'll add those. That's probably how it'll end up. I'd like to keep it one line per game, but it may be unavoidable.

Quoting makes this post as long as the first. I'll add the Battlefield 1 CE, the EU versions of Ultra Sun/Moon Dual Packs, and I'll be adding more retailer links, more CEs, and everything else. I just wanted to hurry up and post what I had then take a breather. This thread should look a bit better in an hour or two, as well as more practical. Give me a minute.

Anthology Index now links to each section. You don't have to scroll through the CEs to find something in the steelbook post or the artbook/guide post anymore. Added few more earlier CEs in January with the full name of the website, + what it is. I'm personally a fan of leaving it in unform with just saying CE, CE1, Book2. More updates will come later. 

Not sure where'd I'd place the $20 Battlefield 1 CE. It initially released last year.

I wouldn't re-add any older CE that gets a discount like that, I would just let it be in the thread or have someone start a thread for it. The OPs will require enough energy to maintain.

I was charged $40 when buying yesterday so they don't seem to consider this a collector's edition.

Pull up your original order email and see what that says. If you ordered originally without the Prime discount Amazon will not add it retroactively later. You would either have to reorder it with the Prime discount or change the shipping method of your original order once Amazon has listed it is eligible for the Prime discount in the product description.

I would definitely pull up your original order email though as that would show if you ordered it when it had the Prime discount or not.

 
I appreciate the effort and work.  This thread has way too much stuff going on now.  I an only imagine how annoying it is going to be, not only having to listen to questions about the Amazon Prime 20% being applied, but now having to listen about guides coming with a dented corner, or steelbooks being sent in a bubble mailer.  You flew too close to the sun Icarus.  

Again, this is a wonderful source of information, and that isn't what my problem is with, just knowing how people are here, it is going to be impossible to find anything because there is going to be magnitude more noise in the thread.  Perhaps if there was a separate discussion thread, and this was just used for updating or adding information.

the blue Assassin's Creed steelbook you have listed looks different from the one on amazon and ubisoft website, was wondering where that one is from because it looks far better than the ones of pictured in the gold edition​

That version is exclusive to the Ubisoft store in Europe.

Thanks for the update. Sadly, there was nothing indicating an announcement. They could print money with a CE in a similar vein as the last and also proactively produce the right amount to avoid the horrible DR experience of the last game.
 
Good games take time. Glad they aren't trying to rush it to fulfill some arbitrary E3 release date to have more games than someone else.

I'm a bit worried about Xenoblade 2 in that regard, especially how shitty and non JRPG like X was with it's lack of story and anonymous androgenous silent avatar protagonist.

Edit: I have Yonder pre-ordered on PSN but I saw (thanks to Vogyn's hard work) that Signature Edition Games has a physical copy with some coins and stuff. Vogyn listed it at $39. When I click on the link it briefly flashes $39 but changes to $50. Adding it to my cart sets it at $50. This is before taxes and shipping and such. Is this some kind of fee for being in America

Ignore all that mess. An unwanted currency converting browser add-on mucked everything up. Price is $39.

I got a code from Amazon emailed for pre-ordering Zodiac Age. It's 16 digits instead of the usual PSN 12, but it says to enter it into PSN.

Does anyone even know what this is for or where to enter it? I don't even remember them offering bonus content.

 
Call this a first world problem but why did they stick the 30th anniversary hologram on the shrink wrap and not the slip cover?  I was/am going to open my steelbook copy and actually play it.

I'm bugged by that too. You should be able to peel that sticker and place it on the game case.

Drives me insane when that happens. I usually just cut the plastic around the sticker and keep it inside the case.
 
Amazon is stupid

The FFXII "guide" code is for PrimaGames.com AND it's for like 1 page (Getting Started)...You have to buy the rest?

Double Edit:
Upon further investigating I found the following:
All of the signature editions say $39 but change to $50 when clicked on/added to cart.
The 4 games listed as "Coming Soon" say $41 but remain as $41 when I get to their page.
If I got to the Pre-order page The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for the Switch is $52 but changes to $67 when clicked on.

So Signature Editions add $11, the "Coming Soon" add nothing (yet), and Binding of Isaac adds $15. What the Hell?
