A beta is a beta for an upcoming game to test systems/servers and garner feedback. A demo is a demo for an upcoming game.

Demo codes can be, but please no one waste money on that crap....

This. Demo codes being sold as it does not really breach the TOU of developers as compared to selling an Alpha or a Beta key, so selling demo codes or trading them is okay. So for everyone, please stop arguing already.

Still, I have to comment on this. Man, look at that price. I'd rather buy a full game rather than spend my $15 on a demo. Their codes though and other people's money, who am I to judge. Just want to put it out there that this site is still called cheapassgamer.

a beta is a developed portion of the game, intented to get feedback of what should be changed about a game, It's also the one where people tend to point at bugs and let the developers know about it so that they can start to work on a fix

a demo on the other side, is a portion of the FINISHED game, aka not in development anymore, and its intended to get the buyers attention by giving them a few minutes to try the game, there's also no feedback involucrated in it, and if it's, it would be a review not a bugs / constructive review

How about we keep regulation of prices out of this thread? If someone is selling something for obviously too much, then when it sits there until the code expires they know that the price is too high and maybe they should back down a little bit. If someone buys a seller's over-priced DLC, that's THEIR problem. Or perhaps only one person on here is selling an ultra rare DLC that no one else has, who says they can't ask more for it? Free market FTW.
