Two Florida teens accused of killing homeless man 'for fun,' sheriff says

HOLLY HILL, Fla. – Two Florida teenagers found a homeless man in the woods and beat and kicked him to death "to have something to do," according to Volusia County sheriff's investigators.

Christopher Scamahorn, 14, and Jeffery Spurgeon, 18, confessed to beating the 53-year-old victim with their fists and sticks and kicking him, sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said Sunday.

The pair were charged with murder Sunday. Spurgeon was being held without bail in Daytona Beach. Scamahorn taken to a juvenile jail.

The teens said they attacked the man "for fun" and "to have something to do," Haught said. They went back to the woods three times after the initial attack to beat the man again, he said.

The victim was found Saturday, and the condition of the body indicated he had been dead for several days. An autopsy Sunday determined that the man died from blunt force trauma to the head and body, Haught said.

The victim's name has not been released.

"We're trying to find next of kin," Haught said Monday. "He apparently doesn't have any next of kin nearby."

Investigators said there may be more arrests.

See, the difference is, PAD tries. He explains his side, and although I doubt we will ever agree on anything (except, oddly enough, perhaps musical tastes), I respect him for his effort.

CTL, on the other hand, goes directly into polemic mode; when someone calls him out on trying to elaborate, he continues with more ad hominems.

The only thing remotely resembling dialogue was when he mentioned that Arthur Andersen was an LLP, which was supposed to mean something. After asking for elaboration, I was further ridiculed. At least PAD tries, and Rich just makes shit up. CTL is nothing more than a common troll.

That's the weird thing. From what little I know of PAD, he has the buying habits of a milk-toast liberal. I guess market research isn't everything...
 
Damn normally this board has some common decency but now people are laughing at a person being brutally murdered. Is there something I'm missing here?

I cannot possibly see how anyone could find this humorous. Just because the man was homeless doesn't make him any less of a person.
 
stray, it's a joke. CTL was saying how the homeless are for his amusement and him and rich were saying they don't give damn about them and they're all worthless, addicts, lazy, refuse to work etc. The OP didn't like those comments and is being sarcastic.
