Old (fat) DS getting dumped for cheap?

Hey ive been reading the forums for quit a while now. Now im truely cheap ass, I find all the best deals on this forum and use trickery with the employees when ever I can. But I am desperate but too cheap to buy a DS system. I have come to the conclusion that I will only buy a DS when they are on liquidation when the DS light becomes the standard. I am only going to pay about 80 bux for a system.

I have a few questions:
1. How significant was the GBA drop when the GBA SP came out after 2 months?
2. Is there any insiders who know about a possible drop in price for the DS FAT?

Thanks, Also does anyone else feel like this and wants to snag an origional DS once its cheap or am i the only one?

Since they are now $130, going down to $80 is a pretty steep price drop. Maybe you can find a used one at a pawn shop or hope there will be a decent black friday sale this year.

If I remember correctly, the price difference between a GBA and GBA SP was only around $20.

ok, I was wrong...good catch firestorm!

That is not what CAG is about. If you have to trick an employee, it's not a deal. It's usually just fraud.

just buy one off of ebay, they are pretty cheap there, your best bet is to go for a bundle of a system and 4 or 5 games and then use sniping software(auctionstealer.com) to close the deal

I don't know there is still demand there. I put my DS on auction last night with a copy of Mr Driller and it shot up to $93 already and still has 8 days to go. I thought the value would plummet because of the Lite but I guess not yet. I am dumping mine to get a Lite a month from now.

i got the DS nintendo dogs bundle for $100 from amazon/tru. i plan to sell the game for hopefully $40 or so. thats a $50-60 DS

If your planning on selling a DS sell it now. If your planning on buying a DS... the lite is coming in June, and the regular DS will only be getting cheaper and cheaper. I dont have a DS, and Im waiting for the lite, but these deals on the regular ds that are popping up are really tempting.

And the GBA dropped like a rock when the SP came out. I bought my GBA at at launch for $100 when it first came out. A month after the SP came out, you could get a brand new GBA for $40. Now the old SP is $80 or less cos of the newer backlit version.

So I predict the DS lite will drop the price of a reg DS to $75-80 almost immediately.
