Big news REZ will get a re-issue in November for a low price of only $19.99. This was rumored in last months OPM and it is confirmed in this month issue on page 65. If you have any copies I would e-bay now before the value drops, like it did for Skies of Arcadia for the Gamecube.

Sweet, maybe I will finally get this game. Surprised they are re-releasing for $19, they could probably get away with $29.

it is going to be an exact re-issue or is it going to be different from the one thats out now? in other words, will the one i have now be different? therefore, rare? if they're the exact same, ill ebay mine off now

The article didnt say last issue they said it would be a sequel which included the orginal game also, now they are just saying a re-issue of the orginal so i dont know if that means anything new or different. Remember when they re-issued Skies of Arcadia you could not tell any difference between the orginal batch or the reprinted batch of games.
I hope it comes with the vibrator.......
No way will it come with the vibrator at that price...

Well, I'm not going to believe the news until I see it, since I've heard many other re-releases being wrong too. I already purchased my copy over two years ago when Best Buy dropped the price to $19.99.

SEGA must check eBay and see what games are in high demand and see there's more money to be made off some of their games. First HOTD 3, now possibly REZ. I'm sure there's others, they just don't come to mind right now.

Well... if that's the case, they're blind when it comes to Panzer Dragoon Saga....

re-issues, not ports.

if the produced a saturn game, no one would buy it, because 1) not alot of people have saturns and 2)no stores would carry it other than eb and gamestop.

a re-issue is NOTHING but profit for companies, but a port costs money.

I do wish they would port a lot of those rare Saturn games onto a collection. I would pay full price for it

i totally agree with you casey. i was just pointing out the diffrences between re-issuing rez and porting PDS

i have a sealed copy that i bought for 50 i wonder if i should ebay it and buy the 19.99 one in Nov.
anyone think i should open this copy and play it before i sell it in case the nov reissue falls through

Errr...

Rez is a fun game. I'm keeping it and got it because I liked it, not because it was rare (although that is a perk).

Great news! I hope I will stop looking for a sealed copy. I'll still pay $50 shipped Pm me. :D
Great news. Hope they don't change the packaging, but it doesn't really matter.
Overland Park is here. :D

Man, I've loved this game since I bought it the day it was released. I guess I could make a few bucks off ebay but I don't think I'll bother, I'm too damn in love with the game.

Maybe I should track down a trance vibrator and introduce my g/f to REZ.
Man, sucks for resellers and people who just got it at TRU. At least they still have a couple of months left to sell.,....
shaq-fu the resellers. Those greedy bastards.

Hmm I didn't pay too much for my copy, but I can't decide if I want to keep it or sell it now. Damn. That's what you get for speculating on video games.

Yes. I reallly wanted to try out this game, but I never bothered to buy it because people are selling it for way too much. That and I never had a PS2... Soon...

To all those who have a copy: SELL IT NOW. Then buy the re-release and have money left over. That is, unless it's already cheap on ebay, but I doubt it. Even if the re-release is GH or different somehow (which I kinda doubt) I don't think speculating on videogames is a good way to make money. Sell while it's still high!

Skies of Arcadia Legends and Super Monkey Ball 2 are other examples of that theory.

Super Monkey Ball is a PC and I see it in every Target I go to.

That would be the point....

Well, this is great news. I'e always wanted to play REZ, but I was never going to pay that price.

I wonder if Best Buy will carry it, with the $5 GGC.

I would be iffy before selling your copies on EBAY. Sure, the value may drop, but who cares. You have a rare original. I doubt everything will be exactly the same. Especially if you didn't pay too much for it, might want to keep it as a nice piece of your collection.

I wouldn't go that far. This is sega we are talking about. They don't have much money to begin with. Changing anything on the game/manual/case cover would cost them money. Correct me if I am wrong, but the point of a re-release is to make money with a MINIMUM investment.

It's really not that hard. I could throw a greatest hits bar on the Rez box with Photoshop and 5 minutes of time. And it's not like they have a huge stockpile of originals that it would cost them money to change.

It's not up to Sega to come out with it as a GH package it's Sony.

There's NO WAY Rez ever met the Sony sales requirements to be a GH title. It's going to be a straight re-issue like Suikoden III and Air Force Delta Storm.
