Officially no reason to spend $600 on a PS3 this holiday. You can get a 360, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Halo 3 (at retail price, which none of us pay

and still be $50 under (that's enough to get a live subscription and a maybe a little more if you find a good deal) the MINIMUM price of entry for PS3 ($500) if you can even find the 60GB models anymore.
Actually, once the 60GB clears from the shelves, MotorStorm gets unbundled and the console drops to $500. Also, in case you didn't know, that bundle IS limited edition. You didn't factor in buying a WiFi adapter for the 360, which you need if your router is a distance from a TV, and that happens to be $100. And even if you get some memory card with the core (not confirmed yet for the U.S., that picture was ONLY Europe because if you notice, the money sign is in Euros). Oh course you gotta pay for XBL every year. You gotta buy plug and charge kits for $20 to charge the controllers, or be prepared to change the batteries every week wasting more $$$. And with the core, you STILL can't download demos and such. If you go with a premium, 20GB is not enough space. 120GB is enough space, but you gotta pay $180 for it. And if you ever want to watch HD movies, you gotta pay another $180 to play movies on a soon to be dead movie format.
We're CAGs. Look to where you're getting the most value. I see absolutely no reason why someone would own one without the view of buying a Blu-Ray player and getting a PS3 as a bonus.
It's because you're a freaking Wii60 fanboy whose too blind to see PS3 as a worthy investment.
You don't own a PS3, so you CAN'T judge it. I knew plenty of 360/Wii Fanboys who bashed PS3 a lot. I could say that when the majority of them got a PS3, they realized why some PS3 owners really like them and stopped saying it wasn't worth it to own one. I'll admit, not all them use it as their main console and some don't play it as much as their 360. What I am trying to say is that their attitude changes when they get one. That's why I feel those who do NOT own a PS3 shouldn't be talking in this thread, and that's what makes me upset. This is like someone saying Killzone 2 has really bad controls and is not worth $60, when no one has ever played the game. So in all reality jer, you don't know if a PS3 is really worth it, because you don't own one or really played it. Although, whether you're ready to buy it is a different story. I'm surprising your talking so big about the 360 because you don't own that either anymore. I won't mention if a Wii is worth it or not to buy one because I don't own one, never played one, so I can't judge it.
I have both the 360 and ps3 and I think for your money the ps3 has the better offer.
500 for:
Blueray player
Dvd upconverter
HDMI 1.3
PS1/PS2/PS3 game system
Wireless built-in
60GB harddrive (which you can replace with a different if u wish)
Free online play over PSN
PSN games like (Super Star Dust, Tekken, and coming soon Everyday Shooter)
Great games like Killzone 2, MGS 4, FFXIII, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, and Socom to look forward to
I would say I do play my 360 more, since as of right now the games out do give the game more options in what they want to play, but the ps3 is still an awesome system to own.
Great post.
