CAGiversary!
DO ebgames offer differente prices for games?
Just wondeirng because one ebgames was super stingy, and the other one gave a pretty good deal.
ANd also, does ebgames give you more money if you have the manual and everything?
Please let me know
Thanks!!!!!11

did you go to two different ebgames in one day or different days, because trade in prices change daily, but i havent seen by that much

they could have priced the wrong metal slug

I'd be really impressed if the game changed $12 trade-in value in one day. My guess is that it was a fluke on someone's part.

I don't know if BBV does it, but it would make sense for each individual store to buy and price games based on *its* business. In a market where they sell 5000 sports games a day, you could get 2ce as much as in the market that is RPG-centric, for instance.

Well, did you have a bar-code they could scan? If not, the employee had to manually find the sku and they could have just been looking at a list of Metal Slug skus and each picked a different one for the game you had. I know that's happened to me a few times where people don't have a box for a game and the game they've got could be one of like 4 different variations of what appear to be the same game but with differing values in the EB system. EB is also supposed to give you an incomplete trade-in value if you don't have the manual or case, but it's not that much of a difference and some stores are a bit more tight about that rule than others.

And in which mythical land does this market reside? 8-[

This is what I was thinking. Sometimes the abbreviations are kinda weird in the system, so if the clerk had to manual search for it, he could have picked the wrong game. At $15, i'm guessing that you tried to trade in 4&5...so maybe he selected 3?

I don't see how you can let go of the shift button and not see the 11111's

I mean, one "1" I can understand.

but I'll hafta stand by Gizmogc in this instance - go back to gamefaqs.

Wow some people are just very slow!111111111111111111111111111

Well, I think EB guys have some leeway... I took 4 PCs games to EB to trade in and he said that the total would be $15... I said "For all 4!" He said he could increase it to $28.

This same guy alluded to increasing used DVD prices for movies he thought were good.

Also most used game stores will decrease value based on how many copies of something they have in stock. If you trade in MGS3 to a store that has 15 used copies of it, you might get $4, go to one on the other side of town that only has 1 in stock and you might get $10 or something. It only makes sense, supply and demand.
