Greetings all...

joined this site a few months ago.. but never really posted till today..

This site was always confusing and felt difficult to navigate..granted a big chunk of that was that my only access to internet was from a cell phone...not even an Iphone at that.. HTC-6800 i.e. the Titan... so its more that its OVERWHELMING rather then difficult to navigate..

This post is not for help with a specific game, but more like a request for help on the WHOLE ENCHILADA!!

The game I need help with "getting" is the CHEAP A$$ GAMER "game"..

All the wheelings and dealings that are going on, I want to be a part of that.. Cash money, MONEY is at an ALL TIME LOW since I was let go from my J O B!!! So I need to maximize what little i have available and get the most bang for my buck..

I read on here how people have $xxx-xxxx(3-4 digit figures here) in credit/money at gamestop, and how they use to basically get FREE stuff or pay REALLY REALLY low prices for their games.. EVEN on new releases..

I want to be a part of all that.. AFTER not playin video games for like 5 years, I fell for them again, HARD.. after lookin for a job, 40 hours a week, NONSTOP for the last 6 months and NOT findin anything..

I realized I might as well suck it up, keep lookin but instead of feeling sorry for myself I should use this "time off" to play video games..

and so please, SKOOL ME, help a young brother out and KNOWLEDGE me on this scam.. I mean the "game" you guys have going on..

I am not tryin to get rich off this sh*T, jus want to be able to play dope games and not worry about money..

I appreciate any and all input and information!

Ok, step 1: learn fucking english.

2: I don't know what the fuck you think this is, but no one around here is getting release games for free unless they are stealing them.

3: Anyone that has 3-4 digits in gamestop credit, is probably out 5-10 times that much in games.

4: There is no scam. Errors are caught, but that's not anyone here's fault, and it doesn't work as often or more so than it does.

5: Now that I think about it, wasn't there a thread VERY similiar to this not all that long ago that ended up being a scam somehow?

:applause:That sums it up. What CAG actually is, and what you think it is seem to be two completely different animals.

Do we share awesome tips, trade games, hunt deals? Yes.

Do we have a scam going on where Gamestop credit falls from the heavens? No.
 
Alot of us work very hard to obtain credit by maximizing trade in promotions and what not but theres no way to 'get free money', what your not reading about is the x amount of dollars spent before the y amount of credit is obtained. Can you get some games on the cheap and good deals by being a community member? yes, but are you going to get free games or make lots of money?, generally no.

advice: check this site everyday for deals. Sometimes u get lucky and find a unbelievable deal. Also, suck it up and find any kind of work. unless u live at home..then leech of ur parents..best scam ever.

Dude, just look here for deals daily. That's all anybody does. Trade some of your games on here. You'll get better than GS values, and people are generally easier to deal with. I know what you're talking about, but it's not some magical secret. All people on here do is take advantage of deals when they come around. Clearance games, extra trade-in promos, sales, and sometimes pricing mistakes. Just do some hunting.
 
At any bank ATM - type in the following:

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start

You get $30 free each time you enter that. That's how the Dark Brotherhood of CAG does it!

Now polish up your resume, wear a nice shirt and pants to your interview, and try not to swear - good luck w/ the job search!

For cheap games, use this address then click on any topic that looks interesting be it a sale or a specific game, http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11

For free stuff, referals, and promotions, use this address http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=61

To ask for deals on a specific game after using the search function on the first address and finding none, post on this forum.

To trade, use http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=21 or goozex.com

To run a scam or swindle, go to slickdeals.com They got game deals too, but usually CAGs, SD, and FW share deals so there is no need to check those sites unless you want the scams

Really, the title says it all. There's no secret handshake, no ultimate underground warehouse, no special 3am buying spree from Shifty's of Encino, etc. You just have to figure out which games you can flip for cash.
