Outpost Halo 2 deal backorder ... grr

Well its Nov 8 and my Outpost Halo 2 39.99 order (regular edition) still shows "partial backorder." Anyone elses say something different or ship yet?
 
mine says the same thing, but dont worry i've pre ordered from outpost 2 times before this and both times i got my game either the day after realease or the second day after. Youll get your game in a few days
 
I'm not worried--if you look at the item page (try to order it today), it's still listed as a pre-order. I'm assuming that it's not officially "in-stock" yet. Hold off until tommorrow before you start to panic...
 
I just checked on my Overstock Limited Edition order (yes, I know Overstock != Outpost, but this is a thread about preorder shipping, and I wasn't about to start another Halo 2 thread), and it shipped on the 5th. I know it is too much to hope that it arrives today, as that would be far less than the estimated 5-10 business days, but it would be awesome if it was waiting for me when I got home.
 
talking about HALO 2 pre-order. MTV.com did a good job, they shipped out the game on Oct 5. I will receive it tomorrow. Good job MTV.com.
 
I have many of my preorders from outpost ship late due to back order, I only order things from them that I do not have to have on release.

Not for everyone. heh. A few are still in process and the site lists the game as being on backorder. But congrats on getting the game on time though.

I pre-ordered my Halo 2 LE at Oupost.com about a week ago, and I also received the backorder notice a couple of days ago. However, this morning I received a shipping notice! So don't fret if yours hasn't shipped yet it will very soon.

That's a hell of a long ship time.

With Outpost, you can't really tell when things will show up. I've seen other CAGs say they get pre-orders the day after release. My Ace Combat 5 and DOA Ultimate showed up a week after release. If time is a factor, then Outpost is not for you.
 
My pre-order from Outpost.com shipped this morning. For $10, I'm okay with waiting a few days. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they'll push out the "big-deal" orders like Halo 2 faster than they might for something like DOA Ultimate....I mean, there's all kind of press about the Halo 2 release date, mainsteam media is covering it, etc. EVERYBODY knows it's available today, so it's in their best interest to have enough stock on hand and get it out immediately.
 
I've ordered about a dozen things from Outpost, across four orders.

When it's in stock, they ship either the day of the order, if it's early enough in the day, or the next day.

For the stuff that's been pre-ordered, it tended to show up within a week of "release" to the public. Standard ground shipping (which is what I get from them) gets me what I ordered in 3-5 days.

I guess they weren't taking any chances with Halo 2, since if I waited 2+ weeks and didn't get any real discount on it, then I'd be a little irked, yes.
