I am in the market for a paintball gun. I Don't know anything about this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a Paintball Package Set w/ gun plus extras, I really want an electronic one. I am willing to spend around $100.
wait you said you want one but then ur referring to urself in 3rd person?
Yea....That's pretty shaq-fuing weird.... Anyways, Wal-Mart has a shitload of them. Dunno if they are the greatest brand/quality though.

Oops, sorry I had written that it's a gift for my brother but I erased that first sentence, I put it back in though so it makes more sence :)

I used to play about 2 years ago so alot might have changed since then. I would recommend getting a Spyder. They have electronic triggers and are really not that expensive. I think he,or you, is referring to an electronic trigger and hopper. You can get a Spyder for about $120 without any CO2 tanks, goggles, etc. Try this link:

THe one you showed from Walmart did not have an electronic trigger, I believe, just the hopper (loader).

I would prefer something like that walmart package, do you think that an electronic one in a package for around $100 is too much to ask?

Tippman 98 or any hundred dollar range spyders are good for beginners.
Tippman 98s are extremely upgradeable, they can be upgraded all the way to professional level guns.

Also note that that gun is no good without paint so you might want to tell someone else to get him some paintballs.

go to a paintball specilaty store. they are good people at all of them. they sell you a gun they become full service people for you plus they are in that particular business they sell quality stuff and fresh paint. the walmart one will break in 3 months guranteeeeee'd

and walmart will not help you at all

I'd recommend a Tippman 98. You can get one on eBay for about $100, unmodded. I used to play paintball every now and again and was given a Tippman 98 (which I no longer have) and it served me rather well. It's a good gun to start with, and it's relatively cheap - at least in comparison to the $1000+ guns that my friends had.

First off, paintball is the other half of my life, besides videogames.
As a starter, i would recommend a Spyder Imagine, or a Tippmann 98 Custom. For speedball get the former, woodsball the latter. They will both work for either, but that just a recommendation.
For 100, you wont get much, especially a complete package. (mask, hopper, etc)
Check out pbreview.com for great forums, and you can find nice used stuff in the trading forums.
PBgear.com is probably the best online paintball store, with the most competitive prices.

I think there have been like 99999 posts like this, asking for guns, and thank you for posting the link before me :p

on top of that link:

are good sites

Overall second that choice of tippman or spyder, very good beginner guns, but if it is for a younger person (14 or younger) defenetely get the tippman, you can try to break those, and its not gonna happen... sadly that is their only strong point... The spyder is a basic beginner gun that will last, but will require a little more maintinece than a tippman

I should also add in, a pirahana is a half deacent choice too, very underratted and they have the most comfortable grips you will find anywhere.

Great, thanks for the advice, I guess I'm getting a Tippman, I saw a package for around $160, I'll probably do that. After seeing all this paintball talk, I think I'm gonna go pick one up for me and my brother and try it this weekend. I've never done paintball and I'm kind of scared, do those paintballs hurt? (i'm a girl so don't laugh) any good advice before I go out there in my red shirt?

they hurt if you're playin like over 400...and hope they do break when they hit you if you dont want it to hurt, lol.
