Paintball guns and paint

I have a Spyder Compact with an upgraded sniper barrel I am willing to sell. It's in perfect shape since I barely used it. Let me know if your interested.

What are you looking for? at a store for pickup, order over the net? What?

You want a peroforming gun?, entry level what?

My suggestion is to check www.pbreview.com for reviews of paint, guns, barrels etc.

My second place would be to check Doropaintball.com & Extremepaintball.com as well as paintballnation.com and 800piantball.com

That should get you started.

try sams club. They have huge barrells of paintballs, and some pretty decent looking starter guns last time I checked.

Are you fricken serious? My wife is a manager of center and they told her last year that they couldnt get that stuff in when she tried to order it..

I will have to let her know thats obviously changed.

I will say WATCH what paint you buy. You dont need to go out and by EVIL paint but dont go out and buy some brass eagle or core shit either. The paint is the biggest and best investment you can make.

I had $600 in mods on my gun when I first started and I came across some cheap going out of business sale and picked up a case (2000 rounds) of cheap crap. I struggled for a while thinking one of my new "additions" to my gun was the culprit when it was just a bad batch of shit paint.

Even sometimes the medium quality stuff like Tippman or PMI Big Ball can have a bad batch. I personally try to avoid the larger wharehouse stores like Walmart, Meijer etc. As that paint has normally sat for a while and that can lead to problems.

Good luck

I am interested in purchasing a decent gun as well but I have been out of the loop for years. Anyone recommend a good gun for someone just starting out?

Tippmann makes some nice starter guns. A friend of mine got a 98 custom for less than $130, and I got a Tippman A-5 for a little more. Both are very reliable guns.

Like my previous post. My first gun is a Spdyer Compact. I love it. With the sniper barrel I have it really accurate. I also have one of those Drop down kits on mine so the Co2 tanks goes on the bottom of the hanld eon the gun. If anyone is interested let me know.

smarts parts ion, fast light and good marker than can be used at all levels of play, its only like 200 now also
ps its also a ramping elector, best deal out there otherwise check ebay, or pbnation .com you can now get autockers matrixes and some older timmys for cheap... best to go electro and buy a mid range gun so you dont have to buy again later

Tippmin does make a decent gun. Think of the old Gameboy. They fire in all kinds of conditions. However their stock barrel is very wasteful of air.

I would say to start get a PMI (the company that started it all), Spyder (basically similar to PMI and metric instead of standard threaded) or a Tippmin.

All three of those brands have a decent following. A site such as www.RJskateworks.com has many many upgrades for the PMI.

If you go higher an IOn is an awesome choice. Personally I wouldnt recomend jumping into a Valved gun like cocker etc. Its a lot to learn and its easier to start with a gun thats easier to dial in and use and have FUN with than one that can potentially bring headaches.

No matter which gun you get remember that they all have the same speed limits on the fields. Just becuase some kid comes out to play with his $1000 gun doesnt mean he has any better of a chance.

Invest in a decent entry level gun and a good barrel (decided on www.pbreview.com) and some decent paint and go from there.

True on the speed limit but if he does have tons of good upgrades and shit he will have a better chance for instance better accuracy if he has a good barrel, and if he has a good hopper less chance of balls breaking in gun etc. But for a beginner stick with a basic gun like he said i wouldnt really get an electric not really needed for beginners

Hi i played paintball 3 years ago and yes my 1st gun was a spider xtra. It was ok. And i had a PT pistol its lost somewhere :whistle2:(. I am geting a
anyone knows where to get good cheap paintballs?
I get all my paint from Sportsmart/Sportsauthority. I really don't care what brand it is since I'm a very casual player and just go with friends in a gully but Sportsmart has the plastic cans of a few hundred paintballs on sale for really cheap sometime so I'll get like 10 of those every so often. The tubs of a few thosands paintballs can be found pretty cheap and they're good if you're sharing paint with another 1 or 2 people. But like I said I don't care about quality of paint since I just play with friends in pretty non-competitive games.
So its ok to play with 25$ paintballs, they dont suck/?
No its not.

You will get more breaks, you will also get balls that tend to curve in all sorts of directions.

Do what you want but go with at least a medium quality brand.

If you dont listen to what I said and you get into paintball... and you experience problems with accuracey etc... Remember what I said at least and before you go drop $$ on more parts and a newer barrely try better paint.
