I picked up too 4000/5000 lvl history courses this term :(, requirement luckally my other 2 classes are easy.

The problem is, they are several 2000 and 1 4000 word papers.

I was going to vent about it at cag, but over the holidays my fiancee and I had a fallen out. :(

She used to pad my papers as, when I write I tend to get exactly to the point but have a low word count. And now we are not on good terms, long story, doesn't involve cheating.

So this is the first week of school, and I want to have some sort of plan. Does anyone know of any free sites that can edumacate me for better paper writing?

Both are theatre hist courses. About 9/1 ratio for girls to guys...however some of them are fem versions of DLF. So I figured this would be beneficial to my relationship issue. I didnt have any other things that interested me in other hist courses,

Anyways im planning on getting some help from some of my fellow students, so with that and some cag advice, im hoping to succeed.

If you're having trouble, try using more quotes, they are good filler, and can add a lot to your paper. Just make sure and fully explain them/integrate them into your paper.

You mean they have real boobs instead of his globulous man-tits?

I don't think you need to learn to write better papers, rather you need to learn to write lengthier papers. You can try being more descriptive or simply use more examples and tack in smaller points.

Also make longer introductions and conclusions.

How many pages is that?

You think thats a lot? One of my HS teachers went to Oxford, and he had to write a 25 page paper... EVERY WEEK for one class. Now thats crazy!

That's excessive for high schoolers, even if it was an honors class I would have reported his ass to the higher authorities of the school, that is BS, no doubt about it.

doesnt your school have a writing center- they are all about helping you out- and if not, you can always go to another school's writing center

but try approaching the writing process better- let me rewrite your first two sentences (its a forum post, so granted short and sweet is always better):

This term, due to graduation requirements, I added a couple upper level (4000/5000) history courses. Fortunately I was able to counterbalance this difficult courseload with two other easy classes, but the fact still remains that I have to write some rather lengthy essays that no amount of easy classes can counteract. My problem is not in communicating my point, which I feel I do well, but rather that I often speed myself too quickly to the point. These papers have a minimum length imposed on them, so brevity is my enemy.

Feel your professor out and ask then if they want quality, concise papers, or meaningless bullshit.
Any professor worth their weight in shit would opt for the former.
Most professors I've dealt with pay no attention to paper length, but rather accuracy, and intelligent reasoning. Hopefully you'll have the same type professors.

My Western Civ teacher encourages us to BS through our papers. I must say I think he's hilarious as well even though we have opposing political views.
