Life is no longer so simple for Paris Hilton impersonator Natalie Reid now that she's baring all in Playboy magazine.
The Paris of the Prairies is becoming one of Hugh Hefner's bombshell bunnies.
Winnipegger Natalie Reid -- considered to be the world's top Paris Hilton lookalike -- is baring all for Playboy magazine.
The Hilton double is featured in a six-page photo spread in the September 2006 issue, which hits newsstands in Canada on Aug. 8 and Friday in the U.S.
"I think it's going to lead to a lot of opportunities. I still want to pursue modelling but I really want to get into acting," Reid, 21, said Monday from her home in New York City. "A lot of celebrities and top models have done Playboy, so it's pretty exciting."
Reid said she's been taking acting classes in Los Angeles and the Big Apple when she's not modelling or making social appearances as the hotel heiress.
A friend at Playboy recently gave her a sneak peek of the pictorial, titled One Night As Paris -- a play on the title of a homemade sex tape of Hilton and an ex-boyfriend.
"It's really gorgeous and very classy and it's very tasteful," said Reid, who grew up in Transcona and graduated from College Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
"I wouldn't have posed for any other magazine. When Playboy gave me the offer I was very excited because they're an empire and have a well-known reputation."
Reid has become somewhat of a celebrity because of her likeness to Hilton. She told the Sun she earns up to $2,000 per appearance at clubs and other venues.
Reid and Playboy Enterprises did not reveal how much she was paid to pose nude. She is not the covergirl or centrefold.
Proud mom Carole Reid hasn't seen the spread and isn't sure if she's going to buy a copy.
"Seeing her naked like that, I guess I might be curious to see. From a family point of view, it's not something we want to see, necessarily," she said. "It's a classy magazine so for them to seek her out and give her that status is an honour."
In one picture, a blond-haired Reid is scantily clad in a pink outfit and holding a teacup chihuahua that resembles Hilton's pooch, Tinkerbell.
Playboy Enterprises spokeswoman Jessica Sigelbaum said to her knowledge Reid is the first Winnipeg woman to grace the pages of the magazine. Four others have appeared in other Playboy publications.
A written preview on Playboy's website says: "She went from stripping at Scores to living a socialite's life, simply because she looks exactly like Paris Hilton. You won't believe your eyes."
Scores is a strip club in New York City.
Playboy contacted Reid's management team in February when the press in New York City touted her as the No. 1 Hilton clone. She was featured in the Winnipeg Sun the same month.
Hilton has reportedly turned down Playboy's offers to pose in her birthday suit.
Photographer Arny Freytag snapped Reid's portraits during a two-day shoot at a studio in Santa Monica, Calif.
Reid said she was surprised by the amount of work and time invested in the pictorial. She spent 12 hours in the studio the first day and 10 hours the next. "They really work you to get perfection. I can't say I've ever worked so hard on a photo shoot before," Reid said.
She began cashing in on her resemblance to Hilton when she moved to New York City in 2005. She got the idea when photographers repeatedly told her she looks like the celebutante.
