Paypal Buyer Coverage

I was looking through paypal's website and couldn't find an answer so here goes:

What is the buyer coverage for items purchased outside of ebay? (Paypal funds sent to another paypal account).

If the item never shows will paypal cover it for the buyer? I know the seller is covered through shipping insurance at the very least.

I'm not sure there is any buyer coverage for things like that. Then again, I don't know much about that but it would be difficult to track if you are paying for an item, download, etc.

well i hope there is, im pretty sure the guy i am dealing with is legit, (has pics of actual item, everything does add up). Any sort of protection?

Well, tell him to use Delivery Confirmation to cover his own butt and give you proof too.

Log into your account, click on security center and you'll see the links for Buyer Protection. Basically Paypal covers Ebay (to certain amounts I believe) and if you pay using a credit card through Paypal (as opposed to taking the money directly from you bank account) on Ebay.
