I'm selling my iPod touch and someone e-mailed me interested about it. Here is the message the person left me. Now I want to know how safe PayPal is because I don't feel like getting scammed! I just need some advice and thanks a bunch!

I am currently out of town on a vacation trip and i would have
loved to come over to your place to take a look at the package and
make the payment in cash but i can't right now due to my vacation
trip.I want to get this package for my fiancee as a Birthday gift,i
would be paying $300 for the package,plus shipping to her.I really
want to get this for her now and as a surprise gift i will want to
make the payment using PayPal,I have a verified account with PayPal.So
get back to me with your PayPal email address so that i can make the
payment right away.Hoping to read from you soonest."
 
I definitely would not do this personally. Not worth the risk and sounds a bit suspicious. Its not like it should be hard to find someone wanting to buy an iPod touch so I'd just find another buyer.

The 'shipping to her' part sounds suspicious as well. You can only ship to verified paypal addresses, so even if he has a verified account, you are only protected by shipping to that address.

Overall, sounds scammy, and not worth it. Don't do it.
