Hi Guys,

It's been suggested to me that it would be better for all CAGs for me to start my own thread. I have inside information on which closeout pc games are being shipped to major retailers in the country.

This thread will include info (meaning title specific deals) on:

I saw a bunch of PC games at Big Lots, though don't have any idea if they were old stock or new stock.
 
HAWX PC $6 at Half Price Books. I nearly creamed myself.

I HIGHLY recommend this one. If you like Ace Combat, you'll like Hawx. The creators of Hawx sure liked Ace Combat because they ripped off almost everything from it except the awful dialogue.
 
Picked up the original Puzzle Quest for the PC for $4 at Big Lots last night. The had PQ: Galactrix and Reel Deal Casino: High Roller for $4, as well.
 
Big Lots:
Saw copies of Star Trek DAC and Cosmic Bowling for the first time, today. $6 each. Also some casual games like Jewel Adventure 1/2, DQ Tycoon, Amazing Adventures: The Lost Tomb, Bookworm Adventures, etc. $4 each.

Wow, I will check it out tomorrow for Galactrix, thanks. Does anyone know if it runs without the CD, similar to PQ retail?
 
Alright, I just went to Big Lots, and scoured the racks to give you all an update.

It seems all the newer games are in the slim line DVD cases except for 1 - the local Big Lots threw them in with the DVD's. There is really nothing amazing here, it seems like the newest line up is just casual games.

The last wave I remember being was the EA one - all this stuff was new in my area. It's mostly the same stuff listed as before, but I guess it's a definite confirmation of new PC stock at Big Lots?

Puzzle Quest - $4 (This one comes in a big box).
Puzzle Quest: Galactrix - $4
DQ Tycoon - $4
Jewel Quest 2 - $4
Bookworm Adventures - $4
Some type of three pack of running a sub station - $4
Real Deal Casino - $4

Everything else I saw were those cheap tycoon ripoff games. PQ and Galactrix are worth $4 imo... Galactrix itself is still $19.99 on all the digital distribution outfits.
 
Now that I look at my retail pc game collection, I've made out pretty well at Big Lots. At the top of the list, though not the best game: BiA:HH collectors edition - $4
 
Finally some new titles!!!

I went to big lots for the first time in months tonight and was shocked when I found new pc games. A lot of the titles have been available cheap elsewhere but it was still nice to see a handful of different titles at big lots. Here is what they had:

Endwar
Saint's Row 2
Tomb Raider Legend
Tomb Raider Underworld
Flatout Ultimate Carnage
Devil May Cry 4
warhammer 40k: mark of chaos/battle march bundle
a 3 pack of adventure games (rhem, stitches, and pembuna ??)
another adventure pack with six or seven games in it. Sorry, I do not remember the titles but they were at least five years old each

all games were $6. There were a few other titles as well that were new but they did not ring a bell when I saw them. Hopefully some fellow cags will be able to big up some titles from this refresh. The employees at my local big lots were already picking through the titles as I was leaving tonight. :(

Another quick update, my brother in Atlanta reported seeing the titles listed along with Prince of Persia (2008) and Call of Juarez 2 on PC for $6.00 at his local Big Lots.

Since there's no Dollar General thread: At DG today I grabbed the new King's Bounty: The Legend for PC marked $7. Turned out it and the other few PC titles in the bin were 1/2 off. Not bad for $3.50. Other titles were Sims expansions or spinoffs, I forget exactly which.

Good to see you back. Alas, Big Lots has abandoned pc games. Ollies is the only other outlet near me and they have really cut back on their games.
 
Nostalgia makes me warm and fuzzy. I only have Ollies though and it's been tough to find any gems these days. RIP Big Lots PC games.
 
Oops got shipped again.  But they each got different titles as they needed.  Who lives near one and wants the list?

There's also more Man Cave stores opening in Kittery Maine and Rehobith Beach Tangier Outlet malls.  They will have the full range of PC gaming related to guys.

I just checked their site.  They are also taking orders for a wicked life size 3D Tardis.  Gotta love the who!

2009 seems so long ago to me. I think I picked up Shadow of Destiny from Big Lots from this thread or something similar. Shame I don't have any of the retailers mentioned near me.

Good news.  The Street Fighter 25th anniversary Chess sets have started landing.  I know they're in the Oops Outlets Grove City PA store already.  Also, Canada's Man Cave in North Bay Ontario. 

Make sure to email or call the Oops stores to make sure the goods have landed.  They also got 500 pieces of computer games each including Zuma's Revenge, Chuzzle Special Edition, Bookworm Collection and Star Wars Empire at War.

Half Price Books is also getting a substantial quantity of the Chess set.
