They ring up as a penny, yes. It is supposed to be nationwide but selection will vary from store to store. For example, if you lived where I do, you will never ever never ever never see a penny guide. Never ever.
At my store we have to rip the covers off and throw the whole thing out. I do this after I take the ones I want however. Make friends with the people at stores and get them to hold stuff for you
There are a lot of penny guides at my local TRU, like a shelf of Mario Kart: Double Dash, but I don't feel like hoarding them. The penny guides at my local EB Games are hard to get depending on the cashier. One time, this cashier tried to charge me $4.99 out of his own price because he was hesitant to sell it to me for a penny. He was pretty surprised, because he scanned the few guides I wanted to pick up a couple of times to make sure it wasn't a mistake. I just left. The next day though, when I came back, the penny guides were gone. ! I usually take a penny guide, but only after I buy something decent like something for at least $5 so I don't feel like such a cheapass. BB is the biggest ass when trying to purchase a penny guide from. Only 1 guide a time, but sometimes they get the manager on me once.

I don't and I'm from ATL.[/quote]
I've lived in Atlanta for 28 years, and I have no idea where it is...hence I can assume it is in the middle of nowhere....
