This seems like a reasonable price even if it is getting re-released. It's not as if he's trying to get more than MSRP.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the point was, exactly. It's still going to be $50 when re-released. It's not going to be a greatest hit. $35 for a flawless copy of it is still a good deal.

I have no idea why it would. Atlus knows a good amount of people still want it, which is warranting this reprint, and they've stated after this pressing the master copy is getting locked away, never to be released again, so this is everyone's last chance to get it. There's nothing in the scenario that would dicate a price reduction.
 
Guess that means I better shell out the big bucks and grab this one up after reprint. Thanks jmcc...didn't realize it was getting "locked away" after the reprint.
